- The main types of cerebral palsy
* Spastic cerebral palsy - some of the muscles in the body are tight, stiff and weak, especially when the person tries to use them, making control of movement difficult.
* Athetoid cerebral palsy - control of muscles is disrupted by spontaneous and unwanted movements. Control of posture is also disrupted.
* Ataxic cerebral palsy - problems include difficulty with balance, shaky movements of hands or feet, and difficulty with speech.
This 'band' has been created to help bring awareness about CP.
Here other's whom suffer from this disease can share their stories and offer support to parents of CP children.

FORGET - ME - NOT
Our problems are many and varied. Our struggles are always uphill
I'm speaking for hundreds of children. So listen a while if you will.
I want understanding - not pity. I wish you could treat me the same
You wouldn't ignore other children. At least you would ask them their name I know I can't answer to tell you. My face may seem empty and dead my body is twisted - but i am alive and there are thoughts in my head.
I will not be shut out from the world. I'm a child and it is my right i'm not an object of pity - to be hidden away out of sight.
My parents see me through eyes of love and not as others do.
They see the things I can achieve and I wish that you would too.
As I ask you to forget - me - not, i beg you to hear my plea.
If I could speak - I would ask you

self absorbed people
i 2 day have experienced for the first time something i imagine my daughter will have 2 face alot later on in life im just glad she didnt understand what happened 2 her 2 day , but what i saw broke my heart in 2 peices.It was amelias first day bak 2 school 2 day and we arrived feeling quite positive we got there we sat in the area where all the parents wait with there children before the teachers come 2 get them. 2 mums came in with there children one a boy and one a girl and they both started 2 hand out birthday invitaions one wit pink envelopes and the other with just plain white any way as the children where handing there invitations out amelia was following the children seying me me me me pz pz but the children just ignored her and carried on i then relised all the children in amelias class had 2 envelopes one pink and one white but amelia didnt have ne she looked at me as if 2 sey mum y havent i got one my heart sank n shattered y hadnt my daughter been invited , y was she the only one wit out a pink or white envelope with n invitaion in the mothers couldnt even look me in my eyes even tho there were filled wit tears ready 2 cry for my daughter i have never felt so hurt in my life y was she being left out just becuz she has a disability y r people so self absorbed and spiteful and arrogent amelia was the only child not 2 have been invited 2 either birthday partys. the only thing i could do was stay strong for amelia but i came home and broke my heart i cried and cried till i had no tears left 2 cry but what else can i do i .............xxxxxxxx13 commenti 968 giorni

my friends little girl has not long been diagnosed with cp.5 risposte 102 settimane
The thing is she is so independant but her leg hurts her after walking.Does anyone know how we can help her with the discomet shes nearly 2.and an amazing little girl.

i would defo say yes,, as am having a lot of problems at the moment with my balance and its worrying me 2,,, am terrifed to walk in open spaces the now as i have nothing to support myself with,, and am not very sure what to do about it

Hi every me again. I was walking to get the bus after work & a woman said to here husband. "she as reffering to me as I walk by them she said she has Cerebal Palsy too, in a kind of happy tone. If that's not proff I don't know what is my musceles get tight & stiff when I walk. I don't know life without it it has always been the same as far a I can remember. My leg's turn in & r stiff tight can any 1 letme know I need confimation. U can definetly c in my childhood pictures that it's definetly CP which I been told it difficult to diganosed in mild casses but mine was a clear as clear as it could be to see. Hi every 1 I have CP it's mild, I would love to here from people age's 18 upwards who have the condition, I had the umbilical cord around my neck in the womb for goodness how long I blame the anathetic's used in birth & the DR failure to notice earlier. I spent the 1st night of my life here on earth alone with no parents only the Angel's to keep me company. Please go to disabled children site with mickey mouse on it it has my full story on please comment on my birth story it's on the 2nd page of it. I know the heart break the little girl has go through. Let her know she is a special little star, & if people want to not let her to got to a party I think it's sad & redicculos of them they should be ashamed. I think it bad nowadays for people to still harbor discrimination towards us I get funny look's by people when I walk it affect my leg. Let Amelia Know I think she is a beautiful little Angel. i have miner CP i do find things hard but u just have to\ get on with life. i cant do some of the things my friends do and at times i really gets me down

lisa ive been reporting them 4 days now and nothing!!!! its so upsetting 4 the parents of these children,, they even took some fotos of the kids which must be against the law?
