- I am a Reiki master/teacher. I do distant healings and I also teach on and off line. I am a published poet. My short story is soon to be published.
I moved from Alaska to Scotland in 2001 to be with my wonderful hubby. We have a beautiful Siberian Husky who keeps me pretty busy during the day.

Within
Within
The secret of my life is……………….going within
When times get hard and the going gets tough
I take my time for myself
By meditating
Seeking that inner wisdom
Tapping into ancient knowledge
Letting the healing energies of the universe
Glow with white light
Entering my body
Calming me from head to toe
Living in the moment of sheer bliss
Whether it be high on a mountain top
Or deep within the forest
I am at peace.

The Visit
I fill the paper with the breathings of my heart and…………
I am bursting with joy
I saw my brother last year
The first time in 4 years
He and his wife
Went through all the hassles
Of getting their passports
This was the first time
They ever left the country
We sent them a detailed map
Of the route to take
From the airport
To our house.
My husband had gone to work
Like any other normal day
I took our huskies out for a walk
My nerves were on edge
My excitement was building
With each passing breathe
Tick tock
Will the time never come?
I hurry back to the house
And try to keep busy.
Each passing car
My heart stops
Hoping it is them.
Aren’t they here yet?
Where can they be?
Pacing the floor
I keep looking at the door
In hopes to see
My brother standing before me.
Must keep busy
Turning down the hall
Need to find something to do
No sooner than I get to the back office
All of a sudden
The door bell rings
My heart skips a beat
I come flying down the hallway
And there he is
My beloved brother
A grin slowly spreading across his face.
So happy
I pull the door open
And they step inside.
Tears of happiness
Roll down my cheeks.
Is he really here?
Or will I wake
Only to find
It was all a dream.
A quick pinch,
I am indeed awake
He really is here.
I throw my arms
Around his neck
And the years
Just slip away
It is as if
We were never apart.

I'm sooo horrible about keeping in touch but I now have a facebook that I actually use... don't know what happened to the other one.. I can't get into it. I've just sent you a friend request. I'm also always on MySpace but hardly ever send out messages or comments... and I noticed you haven't checked yours in almost a month.
