THE GAYS ARE GO!
Hi guys,
Steve and myself have been crazy busy getting things together, and we're launching the campaign officially on Sunday.
From Sunday evening we'll be launching our campaign site - http://www.thegayvote.ie
Senator David Norris and Shirley Temple Bar and lots of other guests will be posing for photos outside Leinster House (Kildare Street Entrance) at 7.30pm
We've told the media that we're launching the campaign then, so we're hoping we'll raise some interest.
Shirley has agreed to participate in some mock-election posters which we hope will draw attention to the site, they'll appear in gay bars o'er the land from next weekend. The photocall on Sunday will include campaign photos being taken.
The site will go live on Sunday and we'll start to campaign to highlight to gay people that they can, should they wish, decide which candidates in their area will represent their (gay) interests.

Sparkle’s is a three day celebration that has never before been done in Limerick. It is a weekend of understanding, acceptance and fun. Sparkle’s is a safe space for members of the LGBT community and their friends.

*Feb 27th
Queerbash 6
If you go to nothing else this year go to Queerbash. Our annual fundraising event, usually incorporating approximately 400 people, this will be a night of total debaucracy and madness!
*Feb 28th
Sparkles Workshops
Beginning at 11 this will be a day of workshops and talks based around the LGBT community.

SDLP YOUTH: DEMONSTRATION AGAINST COMMENTS BY IRIS ROBINSON MP
It is clear that Iris Robinson believes it is acceptable for her to preach outrageous messages of hate and discrimination based on her interpretation of ancient biblical texts. However, the vast majority of people in Northern Ireland do not agree with her comments.
PLEASE JOIN US ON THURSDAY 31st JULY at 1pm OUTSIDE BELFAST CITY HALL WHERE WE WILL HOLD A DEMONSTRATION. Everyone is invited, including family and friends of gay and lesbian people.
