- The Devil Wears Prada are a six piece band from Dayton, Ohio. Their music mixes hardcore metal/2step with Christian religious lyrics.
Their name is based on the book 'The Devil Wears Prada' not the film and was chosen because they believe the name means what it says.
The band consists of:
Vocals........ Mike Hranica
Guitar......... Chris Rubey
Guitar/ Vocals........ Jeremy DePoyster
Keyboard................ James Baney
Drums.............. Daniel Williams
Bass.......... Andy Trick
Their most recent album 'Plagues' was released on august 21st 2007
and they are about to start on their 3 month USA tour which includes over 50 dates!
Singer Mike also manages a clothing company called Shipshape Clothing!

Why The Name?
In a blog written on TDWP's myspace by vocalist mike, he explains why they called themselves The Devil Wears Prada!
"It's the same concept as our lyrics "emeralds hold no hope" and many many others. What we believe it to mean is that possessions don't matter at all and someday everyone will realize that this is true. When standing before God, He won't care about your sweet Prada scarf or Gucci shoes or whatever. It's a Christian reasoning for the name, we didn't name it to attempt at being fashionable or whatever"

yeah, TDWP cancelled Soundwave because they were offered to tour with Killswitch Engage in America, so they've taken that offer instead.
But they've promised to come back to make up for it.
They're being replaced by Architects. (From the UK).
