This point I think is binded to many groups of people in the world. For example emos. Have any of us actually seen an emo be GOOD friends with someone who doesnt dress the same as them? I havent even encountered an emo even trying to socialize with other groups. What are your thoughts on this topci?

Look children, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS NOT EMO, NOR IS HIM, AFI OR FALL OUT BOY. These bands are pop rock. Real emo music (emo being short for emotive hardcore) includes bands such as Fire Party, Moss Icon, Fugazi and Rites Of Spring. You will never find an emo band on music tv. Ever.
Just for the record, Slipknot isn't death metal.
-80% of emo kids claimed to hate labels, then went on to label themselves, or other people. Oh, so it's ok for YOU to do it now? "I h8 chavs who label me!"
-98% of emo kids who claimed that music was their life, passion, soul, etc etc... did not learn an instrument or musical theory. 2 kids didn't even know what musical theory was.

CONCLUSION
Emo kids don't really know what they stand for in todays society. They dress to fit the emo fashion and they listen to bands on tv and call them emo because their friends told them they were. In a flurry of teenage hormones the seek out individuality, yet fall blindly into another trend.
Emo was originally the abbreviation of a genre of music called 'emotive hardcore'. This genre died out in the 90's - Yes, Emo is dead. You can cry and write all the poems you like, but it will still be dead.
The only other kind of emo that exists is a modern fashion consisting of clothes and pop rock bands. No human beings have the right to call themselves more emotional that any other, therefore, the concept of emo being about emotional people is void.
While conducting my study, I noticed 3 main patterns in many of the emo kid's profiles.
The first pattern I noticed, was the message "DONT JUDGE ME" appearing on nearly every profile.
Now, this is a silly concept, as we all know that it is impossible not to judge people.
The definition of "Judge" is to form an opinion.
Science says that human beings can not avoid forming opinions of others. Every time you see someone new, whether it be in real life, on tv, or on the internet, your brain has judged them upon first glance. There's nothing you can do about it. No amount of willpower can stop you from judging that person.
This is why in the human rights act, humans are entitled to their own opinions. They are also entitled to express their own opinions. If they think emo is stupid, than so be it. They're allowed to hate emo. It's not your problem. If you get offended by other people's opinions, then you need to talk to me, so I can give you a lesson on how to harden up.
The second pattern I noticed was the message "DONT LABEL ME" appearing all over emo kid's profiles.

This is not a hate page it is a discussion page!
Swearing without any given reason is frowned apon.
This page has no intention of being hateful towards one group if you will kindly look at the previous comments countless debates have taken place on this page from both emo and anti-emo parties and those debates have been well recieved and we have spoken to eachother politly.
Random people coming onto this page saying "this group is retarded" (example: something Bottled Awesomeness did) will not be given any form of respect and will not be taken seriously until they have apologised for the unnecessary insults.
Blogs such as the blog titled "actually bebo survey done by sum lad on another emo hatin band" are meant for entertainment purposes and are not to be taken entirely seriously. It is merely stateing points in a humerous way which many have overlooked and taken as an insult when infact it is not.

bands should have talent, and their lyrics should certainly have a deeper meaning than what a lot of bands seem to focus on.
And yes, a great many bands seem to undeservingly acquire fame while significantly better bands are overlooked,
but this is not always the case.
Everybody has entirely different tastes,
and while MOST mainstream music does not appeal to me, I still can't blame the bands for having been fortunate enough to stumble across that kind of fame --
they are making the music they like.
If that is what they want to do, and if that is what people want to listen to,
then it isn't really anything to do with me.

first, a "real" band for me would have to have creativity/originality, good song writing and most of all MEANING. and i dont just mean meaningful lyrics
depends on the genre skill as well, though something like black metal doesn't take a lot of skill to play, but a different mind to create atmospheric or ambient black metal is needed
also, a lot of mainstream bands compromise some of these things to appeal to a greater audience.
slipknot are a good example, ever hear their very first EP? while i didn't like it, it certainly isn't generic and is different. but thats not what mainstream media wants.
i'm not saying all mainstream bands suck, i like many mainstream bands/artists but a lot of them compromise what they want to do for their sales and accessibility

Also most bands have fame that they dont deserve whilst class bands such as tracedawn have very little fame but are amazing musicians and barley anyone knows that they exist.
