BAND HISTORY
Eglinton Accordion band was founded in 1958 by Mrs Annie Jamison, formerly of Ballygudden Eglinton. The band has been running nearly 50 years now and took a short break from 2001 and reformed in July 2006, The bands 1st parade after it reformed was on the 30th March 2007 in Omagh. The band will be 50 years old on the 28th October 2008.

In the year the band was founded the committee members were, Sammy Harper, Anna Harper, Bella Lamrock, Bertie OBrien, Jennie Moore, KATHLEEN WYLIE, MARYANN WYLIE, MARGARET GOLIGHER, MRS BORELAND, MAGGIE BROWN. The band master in that year was Percy Hamilton, the band leader in that year was Arthur Jamison, and the bass drummer was Billy Wylie, other members of the band consisted of, David Wylie, Tommy Spratt, Jean Jamison, Myrtle Lamrock, Olive Gillespie, Eileen Moore, Morris Deveney, Edgar Jamison, Victor O Brien, Arthur OBrien, Robert OBrien, Joe OBrien, lesley wilson Nigel Jamison, Cuthbert McKeegan, Anna Spratt, Jean Spratt, Jackie Lynch, Sammy Richie, Trevor Harper, John Goligher, Jackie Moore, John Olphert
