Hindmarsh currently plays for the Paramatta Eels and is considered by most [weasel words]to be their best player. His brother Ian Hindmarsh also plays for the Eels in the same position as Nathan.

Hindmarsh often tops the tackle count in games and on occasion tackles until he is physically ill, as witnessed in State Of Origin 2005 when he vomited at the end of Game 2[citation needed] earning himself comparisons to legends such as Ray Price. Rugby League great Peter Sterling has said on many occasions that Nathan Hindmarsh is as good a player as the great Ray Price.

On February 20, 2006, it was announced that Hindmarsh has signed with Parramatta up until the end of the 2010 season.
