Me, Myself, and I
A Tribe Called Quest is one of Hip Hops most legendary, beloved and revered groups of all time and for good reason.Without question the most intelligent, artistic rap group during the 1990s, Easily recognized for their unique approach to rap music by employing jazz infused soundscapes to Afro centric rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest was largely responsible for the popularity of a new genre that dominated the East Coast sound of the early nineties.

A Tribe Called Quest formed in 1988. The group is composed of rappers Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, and DJ/producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad. A fourth member, rapper Jarobi White, left the group after their first album but occasionally tours with the group. They released five albums during their ten-year career, three of which were very highly acclaimed, and disbanded in 1998. In 2006, the group reunited and toured the US.

  • The Renaissance (New Q-Tip Album)

    Previously expected to be titled "Live At The Renaissance", The Renaissance is the latest effort from critically acclaimed rapper Q-Tip, leader of A Tribe Called Quest. Following some label politics he will finally release this LP on Universal/Motown Records on October 2007. The first track off the album is called "Work It Out", a snippet of the track can be heard at Q-Tip's MySpace-page. The clean version of the track leaked online in late June/early July.
