About Me

Me, Myself, and I
Casuals are an element of football support that first evolved in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Britain and is typified by the wearing of expensive European designer clothing. The casual subculture developed as many football hooligans and members of football firms started to wear designer labels and expensive sportswear in order to not attract the attention of police. They didn't wear club colours, so it was easier to infiltrate rival groups as well as gain access to pubs.

In Britain and is typified by the wearing of expensive European designer clothing.
Clothing lines popular with British football casuals have included: Hackett, Paul N Shark, Armani, Pringle, Fred Perry, Aquascutum, Burberry, Lacoste, Timberland, Henri Lloyd, lyle & Scott and Ralph Lauren. A BBC report suggested that the most popular label among casuals was Stone Island.
