Me, Myself, and I
I"m an author. I have two Scottish historicals - HIGHLAND WISHES and HER HIGHLAND ROGUE. Both have won national and international awards - Published Lauries Readers and Booksellers Best, Reviewers International Organization (RIO) Award of Excellence, National Readers Choice Award. I also have short stories/novellas in five anthologies, with more to be released this year. Proceeds from our first anthology - NO LAW AGAINST LOVE - are going to help eradicate breast cancer. I"m also a publisher. HIGHLAND PRESS has been in operation for over a year now and has won several awards. While historical romances are our first love, we also publish contemporary romance, women"s fiction, men"s fiction, fantasy, young adult, children"s illustrated books, and Christian literature. Places I"ve Traveled
My favorite place is Scotland. I"ve been there three times now and can"t wait until I can go back again. There are still sooooooo many castles I haven"t visited. Been to England twice. Last time we were there we took a moonlight tour of Stonehenge and actually got to go inside the stone circle rather than having to stay out on the walkway! It was awesome. All the places I travel are so that I can do research for my books. To that end, we visited Norway so I could research Vikings for my upcoming Viking saga. It was one of the most beautiful countries I"ve ever been to. The scenery was awe inspiring. Fjords were breathtaking. Another place we visited so I could research Vikings was Ireland. They have a huge Viking influence there. My favorite place in the entire country was Kilkenny. I hope I get to visit there again some day. I"ve also been to Spain and France. While I enjoyed them both, I didn"t really come up with definite story ideas while I was there. Hawaii was fun.
