My life
well my full name is Troyal Garth Brooks. i was born February 7, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, i am an American country music singer-songwriter and charity director.
My music was ubiquitous in the 1990s. I first became visible the year before the decade began, having come apparently from nowhere, and was an immediate commercial success. Lacking the tall and lanky physical appearance typical of some male country stars, i successfully integrated pop and rock elements into my recordings and live performances. I soon began to dominate the country singles and country album charts and quickly crossed over into the mainstream pop arena, selling records like no one else in country music ever had and exposing country music to a larger audience than previously thought possible

- Ever have a magical evening with someone and then spend the next several years thinking of that nigt... then get the chance to be with them and the night just pales in comparison to your memory?That was what i was afraid was going to happen in ireland"97.We returned to ireland with the memory of playing "The point" in "94, eight great nights of passion in this intimate 7, 000 seater.Now the band and i were starting at a state-of-the-art, 60, 000 seat outdoor stadium, wondering how in the world we were going to make this place seem intimate.The answer was easy, it was the "doing it" that was going to take a miracle.A 480-foot wide stage with a matching six story tall back drop that "walled off" the stadium leaving us to play a room like "The point", just 40, 000 people a night this time.What i was about to find out, i would never have guessed in a million years...i was about to have a second date with "passion" that made the first date seem innocent.

- As i explained in te central park package, i as so scaed on stage in New York that i hardly remembered a thing about cntral park... i can remember every second of Dublin.The Faces, the voices, that feeling of being able to fly if you just spread your wings.As a leader of agroup of people , you watch your band and crew for someone to emerge during events like this .We have a fiddle player named Jimmy Mattingly.I watched him take the lead allthree nights t the point that even i was following him, they loved him and showed him their love.Hts off to Jim Aiken, no sane man would have gone through what he had to go through for this one.I guess he always saw what the end result would be.To the crews that came from Australia, Spain, France, German
y, England, Canada and the U.S., you showed me what can be done when we all work together.And to the people of Ireland, this one is simple, thank you for the most magical, mystical, religious experience i have ever encountered playing music.

The fireworks that fall...

clapping hands to the beat...
'having faith' and 'believing'...
one day we shall be free.
The Liberty Bell that rang here...
so very long ago...
still resounds the echo...through
the skyscrapers row.
The words from the old testament...
engraved upon that bell...
Proclaimed the liberty of this country...
oh so very well.
