how can I describe Bjorks music other than to say that the sugar cubes, the band she was in before 'Debut' is the most alternative music I have ever heard, it is a sort of insanely happy punk music and has a charm about it, the song 'eat the menu' with lyrics like 'eat eat eat the menu, bite bite bite an apple' and 'f**king in rhyme and rhythm with lyrics like 'calm down naked man, Ill give you some strawberriecake. Dont act like theres no tomorrow..'

Debut, the first Bjork song I ever heard was 'human behavior' after I watched the video to this song I feel in love with the sweetness of it, it is just a crazy song that makes me happy every time I listen to it. 'Venus as a boy' remains my fav song from that album. 'He believes in a-beauty, he's Venus as a boy..'

Post, possibly her most widely known album is my least fav, but it features the song enjoy which when played live sends shivers down my spine 'how can I ignore!! This is... sex without touching!! Im going to explode.. Im only into this tooo... enjoy'

Homogenic, truly a masterpiece, Bjork spent 3 years in Spain making this album, she used the most beautiful strings and combined them with electric ambient beats to make a sound of her own, you can hear this in the song 'Hunter', I love 'Joga' and 'Alarm Call' it is just an album I can listen to all the way though and not get bored of.

Vespertine, the most beautiful album I have ever heard this album saw Bjork creating an introverted, internal, personal world of micro beats and tiny rhythms. The album featured chamber orchestras, choirs, very hushed vocals and personal, vulnerable themes. She collaborated with experimental sound manipulators Matmos, a DJ from Denmark Thomas Knak, and the experimental harpist Zeena Parkins for the album. Lyrical sources included the American poet E. E. Cummings and the American independent filmmaker Harmony Korine, it is the most beautiful thing from the warmest chord or care, your love was sent to me... Im not sure.. what to do with it, or where to put it' the opening lines to Hiddenplace.

Medúlla, wow! this album is an acquired taste but once you start to understand it, it becomes a magical album to listen to, this album was done with only voices and no beat boxing which I give Bjork credit for, it features great songs like 'who is it?' and 'Mouths cradle' and of cource 'Oceania'

without Bjork the world of music would be a much more boring place, she has inspired artists such as Tori Amos, Kate Bush in her later work and has made Iceland a country known for their alternative music. She continues to get more creative instead of more mainstream as her popularity grows, and she still has a great many albums still in her.

U.S. Air Force General Jack Ripper goes completely and utterly mad, and sends his bomber wing to destroy the U.S.S.R. He suspects that the communists are conspiring to pollute the "precious bodily fluids" of the American people. The U.S. president meets with his advisors, where the Soviet ambassador tells him that if the U.S.S.R. is hit by nuclear weapons, it will trigger a "Doomsday Machine" which will destroy all plant and animal life on Earth. Peter Sellers portrays the three men who might avert this tragedy: British Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, the only person with access to the demented Gen. Ripper; U.S. President Merkin Muffley, whose best attempts to divert disaster depend on placating a drunken Soviet Premier and the former Nazi genius Dr. Strangelove, who concludes that "such a device would not be a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious". Will the bombers be stopped in time, or will General Jack Ripper succeed in destroying the world ?
