- I'm 18. I work for the Government. I play guitar. I'm at uni, studying psychology, pretty cool. I love music. My favourite colour is blue. I'm a happy person, at least I try to be. I think i surprise a lot of people. I can't advertise myself.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Wow...high school is finished. never wearing the uniform again, never having another morning tea with yeti and tanya and vicky n renee n everyone else.....
It's almost sad isn't it people. But! Should we choose to look on the bright side, we will see that there are so many more doors opening up to all of us. Sure, we're gonna have to take responsibility for our own lives now. No more notes from our parents, no more permission slips. We're gonna have to work for our keep, and keep ourselves standing.
But now, everything is ours. We're free to do whatever it was we wanted in life, fuck what our parents think
. We're free to take ourselves wherever we wanted. No more compulsory subject selection, or any of that. So everyone who's just graduated, I leave you all with my best wishes. I trust that all of you will go where you want, and that you will be happy, whatever it is.
