All sorts has been going on on Wake Up With Webster since we last spoke/typed plus just last week the new listening figures for radio came out revealing...good news! While other radio stations around the country struggle to beat the likes of Moyles and Wogan its not the same tale here in Tayside and Fife as the figures showed that Wake Up With Webster is THE most listened to show in the area - kicking both of their butts big time!! Yee and indeed Haa! Its thanks to you of course for choosing to listen, we're all glad here that you do so big thanks from me, Funboy and Mr News. Long may it continue.

Other news - for the past 5 weeks we've been gearing up for our most latest challenge Tay Gear! Both Funboy and I were given £100 each to go and buy a banger then we had to arrange to do (pimp) them up and prepare them for a massive race challenge day. We had to go about employing our Team members on air for the challenges in the ultimate car face off - Team Webster v Team Robbie. Thanks to Richard at Discovery Auto Services in Dundee our cars we're purchased from listeners then given the complete overhaul and made road worthy also by dedicated listeners. Funboy chose the VW Polo while I got the 20 year old Mitsibushi Gallant - or the Beast as we ended up calling it for obvious loud exhaust related reasons. The final of Tay Gear has just taken place (17th May) in Errol with...I'm sad to report Team Robbie declared the overall winners despite a LOAD of cheating from all team members. Unlike the Murphys...I'm not bitter. Just annoyed and puzzled how they beat the Beast. Good news is that none of the Tay Gear cars have been crushed yet, as was the plan, due to the amount of work put in by both teams its only fair that we drive them around a tad more before we get the Tay FM Tank (yes, really we have one) to crush the loser.

The other big news on the show right now is to do with WRESTLING! Yep a massive wrestling event is coming to Perth on 21 August and we've signed up Mr News to take part! Seeing as Alan (Mr News) already has a wrestling background - he likes the lyrca - it was the perfect time for him to show us his strength...his grace...his moves...his gimp mask.

Hell For Lyrca VI is the event put on by The Scottish Wrestling Entertainment Team (yes there really is one) with a few warm up bouts coming up for Alan before the big one in August - keep listening to the show for details. YOU as a listener get to decide his wrestling name (he still likes Mr News but I prefer Mr BAD News), his outfit colours and even his fight music. All in all it sounds like a good giggle but Mr News is taking it seriously and has already starting training and changing his diet (no more Stoo Pies) just make sure you listen to the show for all the latest.

Oh that reminds me - StooPies are here! Following a chat on the show a few weeks ago about decent pies/bakers in the area the Gowrie Bakers in Blairgowrie challenged me to come up with my own pies! Deal. After a visit to their premises to make, build and then bake my own pies (yes, i did proper work for a change - check vid on tayfm website) two kinds of StooPies were created!

Ladies and Gentlemen I bring you...The Steak and Chilli sauce pie and the sweet Apple and Jam pies!! On sale around Tayside and Fife now with a percentage of proceeds going to our charity Cash 4 Kids. Hmmm tasty...or are they? You tell me. Ok I admit, I'm not very good/can't be arsed (delete as appropriate) with this updating my page all the time lark so this is the first for over a year!

Err...lets see, Funboy is still on the show doing the travel although last time I wrote he wasn't yet daubed Funboy that was all thanks to a tiny 2 year old listener who recorded himself shouting 'Funboy'. Cute. The Moobs have yet to unleash their/our second single on the world but watch out soon for 'Man Bras'. Our unofficial Wake Up With Webster TV commercial has now been completed with all 3 of us playing around in the same bed...under the Tay Road Bridge. Poet Guy has been badly hit by the credit crunch so doesn't have as much credit to call us in the morning but I believe he's on a mission to bring back Woolies at the mo. Nice.

Funboy got involved in a whole load of speed dates back in November but with a twist - I had sneakily lined up our friend the hypnotist to put some of the girls 'under' before their dates with Funboy - with hilarous consequences as one of the girls was made to think she was having an orgasm every time someone clapped. We did. Lots.

Oh and thanks for all the mentions of congrats for the birth of our little boy Lewis - he's now 7 weeks old and happily peeing in his mums face all the time. Thats my boy!

Whoa, its been a while hasn't it?! Lets see...errr...since I last wrote we've launched a new catch phrase which is sweeping Tayside and Fife (and beyond...I've got people in Oz doin it), who wouldv'e thought 'Punch My Fist' would take off as much as it has. Grannys, kids and police all over the area fisting as I type. Nice.

Also 'The Moobs' our made up-tongue-in-cheek man band had their first performance at the Easter Funday in front of thousands...all the dis-believing looks in the crowd said it all as Mr News and I rocked out singing about the wonder of Moobs (man boobs). Check out the video on this page.

Estelle (the UK's number 1) came in for a chat about Punching of Fists and she told us her phrase which is 'Spud Me!' Surprisingly she was happy to answer Andy's silly random questions as well eg: what is the lowest domination of money you would pick up in the streets? She said she'd pick them all up. Skank.

We've also decided on the show that we'd like to learn new skills this year so already we've been offered a number of intersting options. Firstly Andy's completed his Cheer leading skills (his video is available on youtube on and his page), he tore his groin doin the splits. hehe The boss here wants me to learn Dancing on Ice so's preparing a tutor for me at Dundee Ice Arena, this all came about cos I was chatting about how cack and pointless that show is. Scary. I can't skate. I've always wanted to learn football commentary so we've got a local game we're heading to but only after we've had a masterclass from Scotlands top commentator Peter Martin (he's the guy that went mental following Scotlands results agasint France!).

Over all, its been good and can only get better especially with Andy's Diary returning soon (he's just turned 14, discovered his first hair and is developing muscles for the first time) and Test Tayside and Fife is also back on air soon as we continue our search for the most intelligent town in Tay Terrority.
