slavery-what does it mean for you? It's over now though, right? In 1807, when slave trade was abolished, it's recorded that there was approximately 4 million slaves worldwide-4 million! a huge number! But what about todays number? Have a guess... Any ideas? today, worldwide, that figure recorded 200 years ago has TREBLED: 12 million slaves. And this is only the lower end of the estimates, other figures have said that as many as 27 million people are held in slavery

It has been said that SLAVERY today is the worst it has EVER been IN HUMAN HISTORY.

What can we do? www.stopthetraffik.org org is a site dedicated to fight against people trafficking, the least we can do it visit the site and sign the online petition which will be sent to the Secretary General of the United Nations in November 2007.

YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES:
1) Do nothing or
2) DO SOMETHING

TWO MONTHS!!

WE are now heading into the last few weeks for this petition to be signed... pass it round your mates!! tell them how simple it is, even make some up if u can!!

SET yourself a target of getting at least 5 people each to sign it... think of the impact that will have on the number of signatures...

Sufferers of Trafficking need a voice.. LETS MAKE IT HEARD... if we don't who will? someone else? WE ARE THE SOMEONE ELSE... US, teenagers, those who 'are never listened to', well then why not make sure that we, ourselves be listened to now??
