'Chantry Youths OK!' Project Leader
Me, Myself, and I
This website is for YOU (the young people of Chantry) to tell me what you think of the estate you live on and if you want to - to try and make a difference.

By answering the polls and questions on this page and adding your suggestions/ideas/comments in the comments section we will then have a good idea of what 'YOU' would like and be able to feedback that information to the people who need to know and could do something about it.

So please give us as much info as possible.

AND PLEASE HELP ME TO HELP YOU!

Read MY BLOG entry (you will need to scroll down right to the bottom of my blog to the first entry) to understand a bit more of what I am 'trying' to do.

Also keep an eye on the notice board section which is on right hand column at the bottom for any news in the area!!

  • Should Chantry's young people be able to use an I-card at Chantry Sports Centre?

    Young people all around town have the option of reduced admission to sports centres in their area through the use of the I-card, our young people can not use an I-card at Chantry Sports Centre I personally believe this is prohibiting our children, especially from low income families/families on benefits having access to sports in their own estate. If an I-card system could not be set up here I would really like to see a Chantry resident’s reduction card put in place so our children have the same access to their local sport centre’s. What do you think? Please comment :)

  • Who is this 'Matthew' please would love to have a chat? taken from the BBC School report website

    School Reporter Matthew has been investigating the behaviour and treatment of teenagers on the Chantry estate, Ipswich, where he lives.

    It is the lead story for a news programme produced by students at Chantry High School.

    Matthew, 13, said some young people on the estate have little to do, leading to behaviour such as scrawling graffiti or kicking footballs at shop windows.

    But it means locals can unfairly think all teenagers behave badly.

    He said: "Because I like to wear a tracksuit they think I'm like that. If I'm with my mates, people say 'don't cause any trouble.' It makes me feel like I'm not an individual."

    Students have suggested one solution to the problem of anti-social behaviour. They say the estate needs a youth club and an indoor sports centre where they can play football safely indoors.

      Hiya, my contractions where around 7mins aprt at about 11 and my mum rang up and they sed i wasnt far enuff... Then about half hour later mum rang agen and i went to hospital and they sed i was fully dilated. And she was born about half hour later:D will bring her to baby classes 2mo and me and Liam will try and cum to little pandas:D xxx

      Haven't commented in a while :L

      This is my new bebo cos I kept gettin too many people asking me about skins and edits..and I have turned my old one into a special skin and edit bebo, lol..
      I'll make you a new skin tonight because I have got some great software similar to Adobe Photoshop which make really good skins like the one I am using now.

      Anyways...how are you..?

      I should be coming up in the Summer Holiday so I might see you then.
