- Me, Myself, and I
- In the twilight of a time, there emerges a need for man to comprehend his own bitter fate finally resigned to the inevitable beyond, he searches the ages desperate for stories of assurance, redemption and hope.
Such tales fill page upon page with enough ink to flood a thousand valleys, and drown the tallest tree. But there is one tale that as yet been told: The story of... SV Wednesday. Desolate and baron, humanities at a crossroads the people have retreated shuttering their once carefree lives from unseen enemies. Driven by panic, compelled by dread the masses begin to devolve. Once dear neighbours turn wary foes brother against brother, sister against sister.
In the darkest hour whispers begin to tell of a team emerging from the darkness. Now the fire is lit, smouldering in the belly of Paisley, it cannot be extinguished, for the stories of SV endure, even as evidence of the teams presence is debated with the passing years.

Last 3 Games update...
Because I'm cack and I've not had time to skive @ 7:30 in the morning, I haven't updated the Bebo page, much to Mr H's disdain. So i'm gonna try and summarise the last 3 games in one bitesize little chunk.
SV 7 - 4 Mack the Shafts
I can't remember much about this game other than I was absolutely pants. I think they were a decent side, but we didn't play our best that evening.. However, we got the result, and thats the important thing!
SV 19 - 1 Barrhead Belgrade
Men against boys, pretty much sums this one up. A memorable performance from the Reekster to grab the man of the match, scoring more than he had for quite a while. While the only blot on an otherwise excellent performance for Mr Steele, who in conjuction with the Monkey man conspired to upset Mackenzie by gifting a goal by MacKenzie's dad.
SV 14 - 0 Kelburn Rovers
Men against old men... We were excellent last week, with a good performance from debutant Gary (no-one knows his surname.... ), and really nobody letting the side down. H was good value for his clean sheet, especially in the first half when he actually had some decent saves to make. In the second half we closed ranks to an extent and defended much tighter, whilst still putting the goals away. Mr Steele more than made up for his defensive error of the previous week (I'm just rubbing it in... ) contributing with four or five goals and once again, a great performance by Inglis, who seems to putting together a run of good form.
But alas, man of the match ahsa to go to the H man for his clean sheet.

SV 19 - 0 Prostar
For the first time in a long time a clean sheet for the Dutchboy!!! Well done! although by his own admission he only had two saves to make in the first half. But lovely saves that they were!! Dutch now goes on a hiatus for 10weeks, nice way to go..
H will be our man in nets when he's available unti lthe point that dutch returns... So it seems that H's left foot screamer last week against Manschity will be his last goal til Ausust time... I might actually score more in a season for the first time...
Anyway, back to last night, a great performance, to get 19 without reply. Everyone was on form last night, Monkey was his effervescent self scoring the first two goals. MacKenzie coming off the bench (on which he skulked) to score with pretty much his first touch and finishing his first stint with two. As usual, Mr Steele was his usual all-action self, taking his hattrick well. James came in with probably less goals than usual, but his passing at times was sublime. However best performance of the evening was big McLelland, his runnig was excellent, and eventually in the first half he started scoring...
As for the opposition they offered very little, defensively, they were very poor. we limited any forward play, they tried, and Jonny had one of his quieter spells in the nets for a long time.
Great performance guys!!
Man of the match: Tryp Fontaine.

SV 8 - 8 Manshcity
Tough game for the start of the new season. By all accounts they are a well organised, fit and quick side, and for us this was the first game for a few weeks.
As a team we defended well, especially in the second half when we were knackered. James was the man of the match by far for scoring or setting up most of our goals.
Credit to Mr MacKenzie, Mr Steele and of course MacKenzies dad for their performance. Dutch was also very beneficial in the nets, there was a time in the second half where he made a string of 4 saves all from close range.
Decent start to the new season..
Man of the Match: Jamesh

Sometimes you have to make doo (see what I did there!) with second best!
And here I thought the dutch boy was more of a pigeon lover.

Huge fan of Gilda Kahn. SV branching into pornography has my full support. Can't believe it took us this long, at least to make it official. That's good work boys.

hahahaha wee greetin faced pwick signs for FC Utrecht ladies, McGeady has certainly moving up in the world.
Whatever happened to the good old Barry Manilow days. You guys have changed.
Yeah, but the Lostprophets are way too heavy for you Dutchman...
Or have you an irrational dislike of the Welsh..... ?
I noticed that too Inglis, not heard of Wednesday 13 but you can't go wrong with a bit of Twisted Sister or Alice Cooper.
I like that we have a little metal head (Transylvania), who has clearly confused SV Wednesday, with the zombie-rock band Wednesday 13.
We will take any fans we can get - welcome!
Not so much a re-make as a re-imagination;

That makes sense. The anti-fontaine agenda in that family has been clear for quite some time.
Who would have thought the ref was Fred's son tonight?
Concensus is to play on Sunday at 6:30,
So we won't have a game next Wednesday.. So we can watch Celtic get humped by Barca (who admittedly are in indifferent form....)
Yay!! The powerleague has finally updateed its website.. So we too can do our own!!
its back online at www.svhungover.tk
you'll find the lovely league table which we sit atop there.
Have my muff
I played like H in goals last night.
H the blonde haired one from Steps that is, not our very own H.
Has to be one of my poorest efforts, hopefully this is a jolt that we need to pick up the performances again.
Cheers
Jonny
I am delighted to announce my ongoing commitment to the SV job, quashing any rumour of my departure to take the England job.
Thats not to say I wasn't approached. I have had lengthy discussions with the English FA but no agreement was made. They seemed to stall over my demands: Installing a dutch man in nets didn't go down too well, I said "If Man U can can have Van der Sar and SV have Johan van Oorr, why can't England have one? They're just like every other club.. I'm sure this is against EU free trade. Does that mean I can't sign Monkeys either? I can get a work permit by sending him to Belgium for a few years." I then mused "Ioved my Monkey at SV"
Other issues arising: The English FA's reluctance to take down the statue of Nelson in Trafalgar Square and replace it with one of H in an SV strip. There were mumblings "Thats a bloody Argy strip hes got on...." They also took exception to me wanting a national brothel opened in my name "The Del de Souza clinic for Sex Addicts"
Concern is growing amongst SV supporters as the rumour mill has gone in to overdrive regarding the vacant manager position with the English national team. With fans crying out for some samba flair, the most obvious choice would be SV's multi award winning, two times Grammy nominated, bare foot playing, with an orange, sensation himself, Delminho. Is it time for a new challenge, and has he taken SV as far as he can? Surely with his known affiliation with the teddy bears he must be a cert for the Scotland job. Discuss
2 Games in one night get the paramedics on standby for the old guy
