Hi Guys,
welcome to a brand new week here at the Social Southside! Its all change here in Shawlands with Paul moving on to pastures new and with that I have moved into our wee office to move the Social along into the future.
This week sees the return of Big Jays Wednesday Quiz, with drink promo's all night! Last weeks prize was an i Pod and this week we are giving away our entire cocktail list! That's right every cocktail on the list will be up for grabs from 8pm so pop on down and get involved.
If a quiz is not your style then you might want to get involved with our 241 Pizza and Pasta offer after work on Friday. If you book a table we will even throw in some free Sharing nachos for you and your mates, throw in a few Continental draught beers or come of the finest cocktails on the southside and you have got yourself one great after work chill-out!

- We have a new resident DJ for Thursday nights and this night is really taking off as a pre club destination… plus with cocktails at £2 and promos on vodka/bottled beer/draft beer and wine you can see why, you can also pick up passes to your favourite clubs to carry on the night.
- Weekend
- In to the weekend we have some great offers on Friday night on buckets of beer and bottles of wine to enjoy with your colleagues so you might want to book a table for your company or business to make sure you get a home base for the night! Resident DJ Euan Fox McLeod will be on the decks from 9 so get there early to avoid disappointment!
Saturday nights in the social are busy from early on with people starting early on their night out but why not come in for some lunch or dinner too? We have some amazing pizzas and pastas or sharing plates to eat sociably as a last minute filler! Resident DJ Gordon Harri Miller will be at the turntables from 9 to entertain the Saturday night revellers, guaranteed to be a great night. - OUR FAVOURITE NIGHT

For the record...
After hearing about Dave's amazing 114 cocktail in one evening i could help but look into just how he achieved this.
Indeed, as the previous record holder this was a sour grape for me to swallow. However to my surprize and utter amazement i found that, infact Dave Renfrew had fabricated his total cocktail count. This leaves me with the pleasure of telling you all that the King has returned to his throne.
104 in one evening is the measure of it guys...I welcome the chase!

Uber Girl took Scotland by storm in 2009 and in the process gave the Scottish modelling industry a much needed shake.
Taking in over 2500 entries... the biggest amount of entries ANY modelling competition has ever taken in this country.
Well now its all starting again. We will soon be taking applications but in the meantime, If you would like to register your interest in the 2010 Uber Girl Scotland competition please go to our website and register your details.

We welcome back Nino, one of the first Liquid Funk guests last year; a young DJ who has taken the local scene by storm since, with his own 'Blink' venture in Club 69 and upcoming nights at Soundhaus and the Arches - he's one that you'll be hearing a lot more about!
