  • Yay!!!

    Wooo!

China is still blocking Bebo, but I've found a way (finally) to logon! It's not perfect, and I have to endure the odd add here and there, but at least I can access this account.

Having said that, I'm a bit busy atm, so probably won't do much for now.

Check out my other works on

  • Gah.

These bloody spam messages (on my comments) really piss me off. Can't we ban all comments from mobiles? We should have the option. Maybe if we petitioned Bebo, in about 100 years they would do something about it.

I'm currently having problems accessing Bebo. China has taken a dislike to it again it seems, hence updates and whatnot are going to be sparse for a while.

You can always catch stuff (or post your stories) at: www.TomeCity.com

Nope, 'The Salvation' isn't finished yet, so I haven't put it on Tome, and I don't think I will, I'm actually considering taking everything down from about chapter 3, as I feel this is 'The One'.

A writing friend of mine at work Michael Amos, gave me his agents card and I'm discussing things with him at the minute, he doesn't usually go for this sort of genre, he's more Sci-Fi but what with Buffy and Angel in recent years and the return of Dr. Who and the decidely delicious spin off Torchwood, he's considering marketing some more horror, it's popular at the minute!

    China,

Me old mucka! Any chance you'd have a look at this for me?

    http://www.bebo.com/TheSalvation

Not finished, a work in progress, so not really proof read or edited yet, you know my issues with that one!

    But, what I really want to know is;

    Does the story flow?
Does it go too slow or too fast?
Is there enough descriptive narrative ?
    Are the characters strong enough?
Should I incorporate more of the 'shadowy' as I call them characters that I have a tendancy to brush over but not include much....?

Like I say it's not finished, and there's every chance I'll be taking it down soon, to finish, proof and edit and well throw myself into the lion's den that is agents and/or publishers - I am suicidal I think!!!!

Yes absolutely genius, snatch him out of time!!!

I'm going to have a think about that one, stew it with some wine tonight and let the muse start plucking at it, I'll have a brillo story in the New Year for you.

I like Ghengis Khan, that was inserted as a little bit of a 'comedy moment' to try and keep it from being so dark.

Ghengis did nothing more than Alexander the Great did, yet Alexander is considered to be a 'great man' and Ghengis a heathen, and Ghengis conquered more of the world than the Roman's every did, still I like the Romans too.

Anyhow I won't bore you to death with my love of history.

    Hey China,

You read and reviewed Resurrection, thanks for the comments by the way, I get what you mean about killing him off, I'm a bit worried now thought, because you said 'clone' about them bringing him back, I feel I didn't make it clear enough in the story that they'd actually brought him back, not a clone???

Anywho, I've joined Tome City, thanks for the recommendation - I'm Cookie on there by the way.

Hmmm... this isn't just a story. Crafted by Nic Tei... This is a M&S story... (Readers outside of the UK may be scratching their heads at this point.)

I think I know why you don't like Chiaroscuro as much (Ellie, this applies to you, too!).

It's obviously because you've read Masquerade already. That's reading the perfect book before reading a slightly less perfect one.

I'll not make this mistake again*!

*How would I go about not making this mistake again?

Michael Connolly's long suffering Harry Bosch, he's a detective that is a good boy really but will work outside of the rules if necessary.

The Black Echo is a very good book! Shocker at the end!

Loved Gloom Rising, love how real you've made that futuristic world.

Can't wait to finish it now.....

I just checked the charts for horror, and saw that Avarice, Tired of Death, Gloom Rising, and Sludge City are all there. There're only 15 places, and your books are spread pretty evenly around there.
    ...
It's times like this that depress me. And Remies. Cross, too.:L
