Hell for Lycra Review
Hey everyone, Justin Crow here - SWE’s very own ring announcer – still buzzing from what was the most extraordinary night on the SWE calendar. Friday, August 21st, the promise was fulfilled, we said we would blow the roof off the Perth Concert Hall and we sure as hell did. But don’t worry if you missed it because as always, good ol’ JC has the full low-down. This is the Hell for Lycra VI Special Edition of NewsWire.
So, it was Friday, August 21st, 2009 and the SWE team rolled on into Perth for a day for the history books. The afternoons autograph and Q&A session, with Rory McAllister and Ted DiBiase, was a huge success and we were all buzzing as the night rolled round. So with over 400 people filling the hall and with the commentary team of Brian Stephenson and AJ Adams at ringside we were ready to get under way. The show kicked off with live music from 2 excellent Scottish singers. Heather Tweadle and John Nicholson gave a great rendition of the Dougie Mclean classic, Caledonia. But when they gave an unexpected encore of Flower of Scotland, it was just enough to get the crowd ready for the night ahead.
So it was up to SWE General Manager, Ian Black to open the show. After thanking the crowd and making them feel welcome, he welcomed someone else down to ringside. As that familiar music echoed round the hall, the crowd gave a standing obviation to Ted Dibiase. Black started by asking some questions to the wrestling legend, but when he put his foot in it by mentioning he supported the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes in his rivalry against “The Million Dollar Man”, DiBiase slipped him “100 bucks” and told him to “get the hell outta MY ring”. With Black gone, DiBiase had some peace to relate to the crowd. He went on to tell the crowd of his Scottish connections and how he loved being able to spend some quality time in the country. It was going rather well until Sterling Oil decided to stick their uninvited noses in. After a barrage of disrespect by Chief Financial Advisor, Richard R Russell. The Sterling brothers and Dave Mallice cornered “The Million Dollar Man” and had nothing but bad intensions on their mind. However, The Flying Scotsmen, Bravehart and Claymore, had a bit more respect for the legend and came to his aid in time. Prompting Ian Black to set an additional match for the night, Flying Scotsmen Vs Sterling Oil, oh and the SWE Tag Team Championship would be on the line aswell. What a way to kick things off!
So as referee, Mathew Buchan took the realms for the opening half of the night. It was down to James Wallace and “Ravishing” Randy Valentine to get the nights matches under way. The Motherwell native didn’t quite know what to make of the New Yorkers camp and exocentric mannerisms but he soon set his authority on the match. Valentine, from the Queens suburb of the American city, just seemed to annoy Wallace to beyond control. As he turned up the heat on the American it wasn’t long before Wallace picked up the first win of the night.
The second match of the night was one I was personally looking forward to as Tay Fm favourite Mr News took on Destruction by Designs, Red Devil. This is a match that has been cooking since Break Down back in May, and Destruction by Design has done everything they can since to make Mr News’ live hell. But I don’t think the Red Devil was prepared for the Tay Fm star. He did get the upper hand at the start of the match but the gamble of some big moves paid off for Mr News, he soon took control and kept on the devil to the end, picking up an impressive win. I don’t know if he is staying with us here in the SWE but he has certainly left his mark on the locker room.
The third match of the night was scheduled to be the first of the nights title matches as the Future Division Championship was up in a four way scramble. However, as “The Mountain Warrior” Matt Vaughn and former champion, Scotty Swift were in the ring, Swift informed us all12 komentarzy 72 dni

Hell For Lycra Preview
TONIGHT’S ACTION-PACKED CARD:
CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT!!!
SWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
‘TENACIOUS’ JOHNNY LIONS (CHAMPION) v RORY McALLISTER
Tonight's Main Event sees the SWE Title put on the line as Johnny Lions defends against what
is almost certainly his toughest opponent since winning the Championship back in December,
none other than former WWE Superstar Rory McAllister! Rory, originally from Oban, is
returning to Scottish shores in an attempt to become Heavyweight Champion on the biggest
night in SWE history, while ‘Tenacious’ Johnny will no doubt try everything he can to continue
his Title reign. This will be a fantastic end to the night, no matter who comes out on top!
SWE FUTURE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP FOUR-WAY SCRAMBLE MATCH:
DAMIEN (CHAMPION) v ‘DIE HARD’ IAIN MORRIS v SCOTTY SWIFT v MATT VAUGHN
In a first for the SWE, the Future Division Title will be up for grabs in a Four-Way Scramble
match. The rules state that two men will start in the ring, and whenever a wrestler leaves the
squared circle, via a tag, being thrown out, or just through some high flying action, one of the
other competitors can come in and take their place. Champion Damien will have a tough time
on his hands, fending off Iain Morris and Scotty Swift, both former FD Champs, and if that
wasn’t enough to contend with, Welsh Superstar Matt Vaughn also has his sights on the gold!
ALSO IN TONIGHT'S LINE-UP:
SWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
STERLING OIL (CHAMPIONS) v THE FLYING SCOTSMEN
TABLES MATCH FOR A TITLE SHOT OF WINNERS CHOICE:
KONGO KEV v CHAZ PHOENIX
‘RAVISHING’ RANDY VALENTINE v ‘FLAWLESS’ JAMES WALLACE
…and Tay FM’s own MR. NEWS v THE RED DEVIL
NOT FORGETTING A SPECIAL APPEARANCE BY THE LEGEND THAT IS
‘THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN’ TED DIBIASE!!!
(CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

Thanks for the comment. Ken Anderson is a target to be signed in the future but as he has just been released a few short months ago the demand for him will be so high that trying to get him will be nigh on impossible to do. But that being said watch this space
Why dont you sign up Ken Anderson for the nite.
