At Glasgow Uni doing Geography, History and Archaeology. Essays done, exams looming though!
Delirious? were pretty damn awesome
Going to Ghana next Summer for three weeks for some volunteer work!
The Banter at Claremont Church never ceases to amaze me.
Living in the same town
For all these years
Doing the same old things
Hanging with the same crowd
And it’s starting to get crippling
You’ve never felt in place
And you tell yourself it’s all okay
But something’s different today
You want to run the opposite way
And it seems like you’re locked in a cage
And you need to find a way of escape
When everyone is setting the pace
It’s okay to run the opposite way

Should I Grow A Gandalf-Style Beard Starting January 2010?
- Oh Yes! Bring on the facial hair!
- Well, maybe a small beard, but not the length of Gandalfs.
- What about a stylised Beard - Gotee, Handlebar, Moustache?
- Stubble at most, otherwise you'll look a trollop.
- Definitely not, nope, nada, NO WAY!

This Year
I just realised earlier what a brilliant year I’ve had.
First of all, had a great final year of school. My sister’s just started Calderglen and I remember the anguish of the first few years of school with the tubes who couldn’t behave for 5 mins, the “moany” teachers, the bullies and the boredom of lessons. But, once you grow up, the tubes have fled after 4th year, the teachers have become your friends, you realise the “Bullies” are now you and you look forward to lessons to escape the boredom of free periods – school becomes enjoyable.
Prom was awesome. My feet were pretty sore by the morning – and I loved the stares from the kids in school when I walked back into school at 8:50 in the morning still in my kilt having not slept a wink but instead went to a friend’s house then McDonald’s at 6:30am!
Time with friends been great this year too. Had some great times, sleepovers (I’m getting too old for them now – I think), parties for no reason, 18th Birthdays, Calderglen Outings, Blackpool (Amazing!), coffees and lunches out. A few have helped me out in a couple of difficulties – they know who they are.
Great bunch
Frenzy was brilliant, as ever – Was a pretty damn good line-up this year too. Can’t wait till Frenzy 2010.
Holiday was absolutely brilliant – 2 weeks of laughter and fun. Spent far too much, but it was worth it for the amount of fun we had. Orkney’s were beautiful, as was Windermere. St Andrews and Edinburgh were very good too. Newcastle was a bit of a let down (If I don’t count the buffet, that is
)
Recently did the West Highland Way again. Had much fun and over £500 was raised for Alzheimer Scotland by Gemma -a very worthy cause. Hong Tai continuing despite almost dieing of blisters was heroic (or stupid).
Saw U2 the other night (on the cheap). Was quite fun since it’s a band which I liked, but wasn’t their number one fan.
Off to see Delirious? on November 25th (The 2nd anniversary of my Baptism). I can’t wait, its their farewell tour so doubt we’ll ever see them again
Going to see a Hypnotist Show in Glasgow this weekend - Sounds like fun.
Also off to see Mr Michael Mcintyre in the SECC on October 23rd - He's top class. Shall be good.
I’ve just been accepted to work on the phones for Childline too! I had to phone it as a kid, and I’ve needed help in the past from friends. I want to give something back and I suppose help kids who were a bit like me to know there’s a bright future ahead. I've got a meeting on September 1st to organise training.
I’m off to University to do something I love (Geography). I’m hoping to do Archaeology (It sounds Interesting) and Theatre Studies (Posh name for Drama). It’ll be a new experience, certainly one I’m looking forward too. Not looking forward to the early mornings though!
Hoping to do more involving Ministry within Claremont – I think some Mid-Week services and children’s talks are in the pipeline to start me off.
Looking forward to the future as always

10 Things To Do At Your Next Exam!!
1. On the answer sheet (book, whatever) find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative.
2. Fifteen minutes into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas." If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every fifteen minutes.
3. Do the exam with crayons, paint, or fluorescent markers.
4. As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it.
5. Get the exam. Twenty minutes into it, throw your papers down violently, scream out "Screw this!" and walk out triumphantly.
6. Show up completely drunk. (Completely drunk means at some point during the exam, you should start crying for mommy).
7. Come to the exam wearing a black cloak. After about 30 minutes, put on a white mask and start yelling "I'm here, the phantom of the opera" until they drag you away.
8. Come in wearing a full knight's outfit, complete with sword and shield.
9. When you walk in, complain about the heat. Strip.
10. Bring some large, cumbersome, ugly idol. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. Consider a small sacrifice.

1: Walk through
2: Go on a bicycle
3: Stay as far from the window as you can

mcburger and mcfries...)
7: Get out and wash your car in the drive through lane
8: Order really unspecific things like: " meat with bun and drink" then drive thru before they can say anything
9: Drive through and say that you're "just browsing"
10: Tell them to wait while u ask the person in the trunk what they are ordering.

If you want to grow a beard, grow one. Instead of asking people to vote that you grow, as you clearly want to grow one. Also, you should add a moustache only option. Things are well, how are you?
