- There are two men in my life whom I love more than anything. They are Jesus and William (my hubby)! That's the most important thing to know about me because my life revolves around this important fact. I've been a Christian for many years and seek everyday to be more like my rabbi Jesus. I am terribly in love with my husband and am enjoying a heavenly gift marriage. I have a wonderful church and an amazing family. I also love music and teach music. I am blessed and grateful everday for the liberty I have in Christ Jesus.
- Music
- Classical, Opera, Country, Classic Rock.....I like everything! I have two degrees in music and I want to teach music the rest of my life. I'm a singer.
- Films
- Too many to mention them all.....Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, Steel Magnolias, Terms of Endearment, Love Comes Softly (the girly ones I love), also Pirates of the Caribbean and many more.
- Sports
- Greenbay Packers (American football)and Angels (baseball) are my teams
- Scared Of
- Spiders (serious phobia), heights and the NEDS of Glasgow! hehe
- Happiest When
- With my husband studying the Word of God, worshipping His name, with family and friends enjoying the blessings He's given us
- Favourite Verse
- "Now abideth faith, hope and love; these three, but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13

Thanking God for Baby McCafferty
With joyous hearts and thanksgiving we are happy to announce that William and I are expecting a baby. I am around my 8th week of pregnancy and the baby will be due sometime in early June. We should get our first ultrasound sometime next week and I simply can’t wait! We are so thrilled!
As many of you know, William and I have been trying for a baby for over 3 years. We were told that getting pregnant would be difficult, and were trying to get certified to adopt when we found out I was pregnant. God is so amazing the way He works. I want to testify that the Lord of Lord’s is the only opener and closer of wombs. I am just ever-so grateful that He inclined His ear to my cry and poured out His grace and mercy upon us, opening my womb for our precious little one. Thank You Jesus!
We will keep you all updated as we go to doctor’s appointments and get ultrasounds. We would appreciate all of your prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy for the baby. God bless you!
“And He (God) shall make the barren woman to keep house and to be the joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord!” Psalm 113:9

Prayers Requests and Updates
Hi all!
Praying you are having a blessed day and that you are full with the joy of the Lord! I'm writing a quick blog to give you an update on our crazy lives and to ask for prayer in a few areas.
1. Praying for a Child - As many of you know, we've now been trying for a baby for about 3 years. It has been so hard month after month to wait on the Lord's timing in this way, but we know He is in control. I am blessed to have such a great support system in my husband, my family and my church family. Please pray for us that we would have the blessing of a baby in our lives, whether through birth or adoption. We are still working on our adoption certification, which is taking a lot longer than expected but, I'm sure, worth the wait.
2. Agape Bible study - William is now teaching a Bible study at our home on Sunday evenings. Our pastor gave the go ahead and so we went ahead. We serve a dinner at 6pm and worship and study at 7pm. So far, we've been having betwen 13 and 20 people each sunday, which is a huge blessing. Pray for William as this is his first time leading an ongoing study, and that he will continue to grow in the Lord.
3. My Dad - Well, the sad news is my dad has very advanced cancer, stage 4. He has been on chemotherapy for several months, but it is not doing anything for him except for making him sicker. He also fell the other day and tore the ligaments in his shoulder, so his pain is increased. Today, he suffered from terrible hallucinations. We know the cancer is in his lungs, kidneys, bones and brain. His only hope is a miracle, so please pray for him. We trust God's plan. He has a wife and two young daughters (I think 5 and 7). Please keep them all in your prayers and for us to know how to minister to him during this time.
4. My brother - My younger brother Bryce has been having some medical issues. Last week his doctor found a large lump in his throat and said it might be quite serious. He goes for more scans and tests next week. Please pray for him, his wife and their baby girl.
5. Praise. Praise the Lord, William got his drivers license!
Well, I gotta run! Love you all!

Update - William and Chelsea
Hello loved ones! I’m just writing this quick note to give you an update on what’s happening with us these days. The last couple weeks have been unbelievably busy and quite difficult at times, but we know that the Lord is getting us through it all. He is allowing us to go through the fire, that we might be purified and grown stronger in our faith, and we are determined not to fight Him in this but just to trust Him.
Let’s start with my (Chelsea’s) Dad, Steve. He has been diagnosed only a few weeks ago with terminal cancer in his lungs, liver and lymph nodes. The cancer might be in more places, but right now the doctor is concentrating on the chemotherapy. They have told him that there is no hope for cure, and that the treatment is only to relieve symptoms, which it is doing. He is on oxygen 100% of the time and one lung is completely gone. It doesn’t seem that it will be long before he’s gone. Of course, we know God can do a miracle here and that’s our prayer, but we trust His plan whatever it may be.
As many of you know, William was working full time for my Dad’s magazine. Well, with the chemo (and some other awful situations that I won’t go into) my Dad had to let William go, so he was without a job. We’ve had to put adoption and everything on hold obviously until William is back in work. Praise God, William was offered a job a few days ago at the Visalia Times Delta newspaper as Sales Manager. Pretty cool! God’s got a plan and He’s certainly taking care of us! William is due to start end of June and he’s very excited about it. I’m so proud of him.
Now for the medical stuff. William and I applied for life insurance (we started the process before any of this happened because of the plans to adopt). We did medicals a few weeks ago. Well, the insurance lady called and said that my premium had been raised because of the result of the fasting blood glucose level. I understood all too well what this was indicative of…diabetes. I began testing myself every morning…151, 135, 159….turns out I’m diabetic. Visited the doctor yesterday and she confirmed this. We are now waiting on some tests to show whether or not I can attempt to take care of it with diet alone or if I will need medication. William and I radically changed our diets and are both losing weight quite quickly. No sugar or carbs for me at the moment…just lean proteins and lots of veggies. (I should have done this years ago).
SO, our lives have been crazy. There’s been so much going on and I just know if not for the Holy Spirit as a Comforter, and God’s promises (which He will never break), this last couple weeks would have been devastating. But we know that “All things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” We love God and we want to serve Him, laying aside our lives. We know He will continue to keep us and take care of us. We have the things we need. Our marriage is just growing stronger and stronger. Our ministries here are flourishing. God keeps His Word. Your prayers are still greatly appreciated though. Keep them up! Hehe
That’s it for now. We pray all is well with you. We miss you and love you guys! Please keep us updated on your lives and let us know if you have any prayer requests.
Love always,
William and Chelsea

thanks Chelsea. Yeah, the waiting can be hard, but God usually has lessons to refine in us, and draw us into more dependency/closeness to Him, and His timing is perfect...gives me hope for everything else! I'm enjoying having work to do everyday now, it's good to have a routine and meeting new people/challenges, I'm a research officer - women/crime issues, which is perfect for me- including human trafficking, which I did my Masters in, so yeah, God really provided this for me, helping me to know Him/His ways better.
You sound really excited, I hope you are feeling well with the pregnancy. That would be so great to see you all when you're settled as parents/family....you will make an amazing mum, can't wait to see how things work out and see the little one.
How is William, is he nervous about being a dad?
I'm back at home with my parents now, I moved back in May last year when I was 'between jobs'!! xx -

Hi Chelsea, thanks for your message - lovely to hear from you.
That's amazing, I'm so pleased for you both, it must be an incredible feeling that you're having a child..a little girl, how sweet, when did you find out? same with Jenny then....so many Calvary ladies having babies on the way.
I'm sure you'll find the right name for your special little girl.
I'm alright thanks. Nothing as exciting as having a new baby, but I have got a new job, so that's the biggest thing with me at the moment, especially having waited so long for it, and it's something I wanted to do.
How long before the baby is born? So pleased for you, how wonderful to have your own wee family.
love, s.x
