And so, I have just spent the last 14 days in the land of the Kiwis ,….

Gosh, what can I say?
Theres so much to say I have absoloutely no idea where to start.
And I cant help but think about Elissa, how jealous she must be … I got to go to the Cadbury Factory, I went to a theme park all about Puzzles and Optical Illusions, we got the opportunity to ride on a segway (however they’re spelt) but we didn’t because they were too expensive, we saw real wild baby pangwangs, we had huge Albatrosses fly over our heads, we saw wild seals, the mountains still had snow on them so we kind of had a White Christmas….etc….

I wish I could have taken you with my luggage, Elissa.

Anyway… most of you are probably wondering about the accents. Do they have noticeable accents?
YES, YES THEY DO.
Very annoying ones at that. Sorry to offend any Kiwis out there who are reading this for some reason, but I know you’re all sitting under the covers giggling about how funny Aussie accents must sound to you guys anyway!
“So do they actually say ‘fush and chups’ instead of ‘fish and chips’?” is a common question.
Yes, yes they do. We actually got some fush and chups for that reason … not really, we were just hungry XD
Other examples of silly new Zealander things we heard on our trip;
“vijtible kush” (vegetable quiche)
“Im gonna have a bear on my dick!” (I’m gonna have a beer on my deck)
“nigger roll!” (mega roll)
(…it was a toilet roll ad on tv..)
…It may sound amusing, but to be surrounded by them all 24/7 really gets on your nerves after a while …….

But enough about accents!!
Our first stop was to Auckland! It just felt like arriving back in Sydney … everything was pretty much the same, except I noticed most of the buildings aren’t half as high as the ones in Syndey, and the souvenir shops filled with Kiwis and sheep and penguins and paua shells and tikis.
On the corner of a building of shops stood an enormous terrifying paper mache Santa Claus that loomed over the city. It appeared to have down syndrome, and it mechanically waggled its finger as though it was saying “come inside, children…” I’ve never seen something so frightening in my life … It was nightmare material, I tell you. I’ll upload photos of it later.

Annyhoo we didn’t really spend that much time in Auckland. We caught another plane (ugh, planes..) to lovely city called Christchurch.
Most of the days we were there it was freakishly FREEZING. We had to go buy some extra warm jackets and hats so we didn’t freeze to death D8 and it was meant to be summer!

Jumping to another topic, I liked the different candies and drinks the kiwis have to us. There was this really yummy lemonade called “L&P” that I grew attached to, not just because it sounds like “Ellen Pee” but because it has the yumminess of lemonade without the icky tangy aftertaste
I also liked Chocolate Fish xD Which were marshmallows in the shape of fish covered in chocolate. New Zealand is big on marshmallows, you see. xD Oh, and New Zealand lamb is really tasty.

….anyway.

Now for the countryside!
This is where it started to get breathtaking.
The scenery was nothing like Australia … theres so many beautiful hills and mountains and rocks allover the place …… everywhere you look would look like a scene from the Lord Of the Rings. Except with sheep. Lots and lots of sheep.xD!
And reindeer, surprisingly enough … especially for me while looking out the window .. it was like;

 , IM A REINDEER! ”

We arrived at a very cute little town (apparently French?) filled with adorable little tiny colourful cottages and cute old-looking shops and joyfulness!
However…. that was where my camera decided to commit suicide and smash on the ground. *cries*.
