Formed in September of 2003, the band started as an excuse to meet for drinking, and nobody but the drummer could play their instruments properly. The name of the group, 'Cansei de Ser Sexy' (CSS), was taken from a quote by Beyoncé, who allegedly declared that she was "tired of being sexy". Lead singer Lovefoxxx declared it was a stupid thing to say, and christened the band with the phrase.

Their debut album is equal parts rock mantra and throwback into something new, transcending boundaries of genre and geography. It careers full speed into dance territory, into the unknown and untouched, to emerge all hot and bothered with wild electro-rock. It is quick, tightly-wound, unfastened and supreme. Not a sneer but a giggle.

    • CSS playing iTunes Live in London!

      From 1st July 2008, iTunes takes over London's legendary KOKO for a month-long extravaganza of live music featuring exclusive gigs from bands like CSS! Each performance will be recorded and made available on iTunes.

      You can win tickets right here on Bebo! Leading up to the festival, we're running a new competition every week where you can win one of five pairs of ticket for each gig - check the details below:

      July 16 - CSS + Alphabeat (closes July 6th)
      July 17 - Guillemots + Lykke Li (closes July 6th)

    • CSS CHRISTMAS UK TOUR


      CSS will be heading out on UK Christmas tour this December. Expect some festive suprises. Support come from Justice, Metronomy and Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong.
      Tickets went on sale Friday 5th October at 9am.
