Zhang Ziyi is a Chinese Actress. She is becoming a great success with her work not just Nationally but now Internationally as being well known as Ziyi Zhang as well as Zhang Ziyi.

She is the youngest of two children. At the age of 11 to 15 she joined the Beijing Dance Academy. Whilst at the academy she won the 4th Annual National Young Dancer Competition in 1994. By the age of 17 she took a government-sponsored aptitude test, founding that she has a joy for acting.

Zhang then had auditioned at China Central Drama College and got a place their. Within time spent there she was then offered the role of her first movie directed by Zhang Yimou, The Road Home her very first film.

By within a year later after the release of her first film. She was offered the role of 'Jen Yu' in the smash hit film Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. With the movie of being such a success this then leaded her career to such great film hits elsewhere
