close About Me
- Me, Myself, and I
- Considering some 18 months have passed since I last updated this I thought I'd change it about a bit.
There's not a lot to say about me really:
1) I study English, having escaped my Law course.
2) I've recently taken to photography but all I really get to do is live band stuff. It's good fun though.
3) I play guitar and sing in Glasgow's best-looking band Senzafine.
That's pretty much me in a nutshell just now - enjoy it! - Bands I've been listening to recently incude:
- Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Pantera, Biohazard, Fozzy, P.O.D. and Municiple Waste.
- Films
- No real surprises here. My favourite movie's probably Pan's Labyrinth but other than that just the usual stuff: 28 Days/Weeks Later, 300, Alien, Corpse Bride, Creepshow, Critters, The Crow, Dawn/Day of the Dead, Evil Dead, Gremlins 1&2, Hallowe'en, The Hamiltons, Interview with the Vampire, Underworld, Walk the Line, etc. A big fan of the Marx Bros. as well. And Surf's Up rules too!
- Sports
- Rory, Stuck Mojo and Lev are the reason I've recently rediscovered a love for wrestling. Yeah, I know it's scripted but it's damn good entertainment!
- Scared Of
- Fucking spiders! Bastards.

Senzafine at 13th Note on Friday 13th!
SENZAFINE are playing with EDDY + THE T-BOLTS, EL BASTARDOS and SOME OTHER BAND I’VE NEVER HEARD OF AND CAN’T REMEMBER THE NAME OF BUT BET THEY ARE FUCKING GREAT on 13/02/2009.
It’s ONLY £3 on the door and if you don’t come you are what Rick Ta Life would describe as "a straight up herb". ZING! Unless you're missing the show because it's Friday the 13th and you wanna go to the cinema to see Hotel For Dogs on day of release, in which case that's totally cool.
THERE’S A FUCKING HUGE CAR PARK OUTSIDE YOU CAN USE FOR FREE AFTER LIKE 6PM, and there are also pavements in a retro-grey colour scheme conveniently located around the venue for you civilian ass motherfuckers.
ONLY £3 ON THE DOOR, ’MON TAE FUCK.

Senzafine's 1st Glasgow show of 2008 (we learned our lesson from playing in Clydebank!)
26th March 2008
PivoPivo
15 Waterloo Street
Glasgow
G2 6AY
Pretty much right across the road from Glasgow Central Station's Hope Street exit:

AMOK: Fast and aggressive old school style thrash, complete with awful-looking logos and lyrics about Nazis and killing posers. Awesome stuff. It's very rare that a local band can set out to nail an established style of music and do it as well as this. For fans of Exodus, Forbidden, old Metallica... Or, if you've just jumped on a bandwagon, Municipal Waste. http://www.myspace.com/amokscotland
FOREVERVOID: Heavy chugging verse riffage counterbalanced with soaring melodic chrouses delivered by a really very unusually good clean singing voice. For fans of, uhhh, Sevendust I guess. http://www.myspace.com/forevervoid
SENZAFINE: Rock influenced by Life of Agony, Helmet, Metallica, Biohazard, thrash metal, hardcore and grunge. For fans of STRAIGHT DOPE SHIT THAT'S PURE AWESOME! http://www.myspace.com/senzafineuk
Only £4 on the door, with all proceeds going to charity.
I'm informed that the alcohol is pretty cheap, too, and they serve more than 90 varieties of better.0 Comments 624 days

Senzafine's First Support Slot!!!!
Details of how this came about aren't necessary for now. All you need to know is that we're playing this Friday at the Cathouse. We're supporting WARRIOR SOUL from New York with LOGAN as the other support. Tickets are £8.50 + booking on the door or just 5 pounds from the band!! Last week was good value, but this is just simply astounding, lets be honest!!
If you can make it along then message or text me and we'll get the tickets to you asap!!
SENZAFINE NEEDS YOU!! DO THE RIGHT THING!!
P.S. Yes, I just stole this from Chappers' page but then what you gonna do about it?! And I'm hefty excited about both the bands we're playing with!0 Comments 768 days

Not quite 99p, but with this and a new DS I've pretty much replaced everything I lost at the WWE show. I'm sure I'll find another actual Biohazard bag before January as well, so I can carry my LOA shirt and DS around in it and lose everything again at the TNA show!

Read yer text on the drive home from Uni there and let out a loud "THANK FUCK" - no joke, I've been turning my entire house upside-down trying to find that fucking Alice In Chains ticket. I couldn't remember if you gave me it or not. I did find my TNA ticket, though, so it wasn't all for nothing! This is why buying tickets in advance is a bad idea for me.

Joseph Cassidy9 weeks agoJust clocked your BeBo message, 2 missed calls and text.. To answer your concerns, I assure you I was not pulling a sly ruse when I told you I was going to book the studio for Sunday. I was NOT joking, I was telling the truth and it HAS been booked!

No, that's cool. I was worried you'd got a couple thinking of me! Craig got 2. I'll speak to Mark about working the 12th and 13th in glasgow so I can come. If I can't for whatever reason, Craig will find the ticket(s) a new home. Fingers crossed I'll be able to come though!

Suz Humphrey10 weeks agoOops - did you mean you bought 4, as in 2 for us? Or did you just buy a random 4 tickets cos that's what it would let you buy? Either way, I'm positive you'll have takers for them!!

Suz Humphrey10 weeks agoWoohoo! Now all I have to do is convince Mark to let me work in Glasgow for the two days that week!

It's probably best we don't talk about FNM, as you're likely to hate my guts - I actually had access to at least three spare tickets to the gig, but was for some reason under the impression you weren't gonna be in the country! Which is fucking nuts, coz EVEN STEWART EVERSON managed to stay in Scotland long enough to see Faith No More! You were not only in Scotland but IN EIDNBURGH on the day of the gig., then? Ooops. Soz.
The gig was pretty rad but TOO WARM. I can barely remember the gig because I was in such a barely-conscious state of overheating. All memories of the FNM gig feel like I dreamt being there now. The only reason I know it DID really happen is because of the distinctly familiar ponytail flying over the crowd in the bottom-left of this video around the 0:54 mark:

How's San Fran ya fan dan? Hurry up back before I forget how to play all our songs again. Again.

Sounds good to me.
Am I right in thinking that the first one is just a book shop? Or is there more to it that I'm missing...?
