During the sixties not many came close to Ray Davies for sheer musical production and songwriting talent. Their run of hits throughout the decade can't go unoticed, and many are now loved throughout the world.

"You Really Got Me", "Sunny Afternoon", "Waterloo Sunset", "Days", "Tired of Waiting For You", "Lola", "All Day and All of the Night", "Dead End Street"... all perfect examples of classic British music.

The songwiritng ability of Ray Davies is right up their with Lennon/McCartney, the Bee Gees, Pete Townshend, Brian Wilson, John Sebastian, Bacharach/David and many more amazing writers.


Even though they lost their appeal during the Seventies (especially in the UK), they bounced back in the late Eighties with "Come Dancing" and "(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman", but split in 1993.

Ray currently tours solo, and has recorded two succesful albums.
