Flat crawl
ITS ON!!! THE FLAT CRAWL - Thursday 31st of January. Cost will be £10 (could be less depending on drink prices) and will supply you with an unlimited (well sort of) amount of alcohol. We shall tour 4 flats (to be decided) ending at mine. The general rule is that there will be a certain amount of alcohol at each flat we cant move on until it is finished. There will be a wide range of beverages to suit everyone. If you are interested in this could you please send Ian an email or text. Will collect money next week at training or on Sat. As it is a thursday we may head off to the HIVE to end the night by verbally abusing some glasgow uni students.
Next week is the first of the semester so there should be NO EXCUSES about uni work etc.

Scot Uni's or Sport Ball...
Hi everyone, hope you all had a brilliant time on thursday night and enjoyed the food and banter
following on from discussions on thursday i would greatly appreciate it if you could read through this email and reply to me asap in february 2008 we have both Scot Uni's and Strathclyde Uni's Sports Ball. unfortunately they are both happening on the same weekend!! for those of you who dont know about either, i'll briefly explain what happens at each event. SCOT UNI's - is the scottish version of BUSA, a big competition between all the scottish university's and this year is being hel in dundee. there is swimming on the friday night followed by a fancy dress night out. there is swimming on saturday morning and afternoon and in the evening there is a meal and ceildh/disco where the medals and trophies are presented. in total you will have to pay for 2 nights accomodation plus around £10 for the evening ticket plus money for drinks. UNIVERSITY SPORTS BALL - this is held in the Hilton Hotel in Charing Cross on the saturday night and is attended by people from all the sports teams at strathclyde uni. there is a 5 course meal, followed by presentations of prestigious sports awards for sports men and women who have excelled in their sport the previous year (this year we have 2 swimmers who are recieving awards!). there is a ceildh/disco to follow. the ticket is usually around £30, you will have a few free bottles of wine at your table but there after you pay for your own drinks. due to the clashing of these too events we can got to Scot Uni's for the friday swimming and night out and saturday morning swimming, however a choice then needs to be made as to stay in dundee for the evening celidh or come back to glasgow for the university sports ball. PLEASE COULD YOU ALL EMAIL ME BACK SIMPLY SAYING WHETHER YOU WOULD PREFER TO STAY AT SCOT UNI'S OR COME BACK FOR THE SPORTS BALL!! please note, if you do not reply you cannot moan if what is decided on isnt what you wanted! also, if we cant make a decision as a team then the committee will decide on behalf of everyone.

Pre-Stirling Sprints night out :)
This wednesday is our league match against Glasgow Uni.
FIRST
There will be free food in Revolution from at about 8.30 and of course a few beverages. We will leave the royal college pool about 7.45 to 8sh so if you want to meet there that is cool. Even better would be if anyone wants to turn up to support. This one is always a good night so no excuses. Especially all good pint _owners as a boat race is a strong possibility!
SECOND
A genious idea by one of our seniour members at training is that those without a nickname should leave a blank space on their American footy attire. After some shambolic activity a nickname will be announced and the space filled in. (Black marker pens - arghh the memories)

We're having a fundraising Ceilidh on Wed 11th March, 7.30pm in O'Couture and would be delighted if you made an appearance. Ticets are £8 and are available from the sports union. This includes a raffle, buffet, live Ceilidh band and endless banter. Drinks are £1 on the night.
