SEXTING
Beatbullying reveals extent of 'sexting' amongst British teenagers
Beatbullying today unveils new research on ‘Sexting’, the sending of sexually explicit messages via text and email. The research indicates that over a third (38%) under 18s have received an offensive or distressing sexual image via text or email.
These findings form part of ground breaking research on sexting from Beatbullying, the UK's leading bullying prevention charity. Beatbullying findings uncovers that sexualized peer to peer anti social behaviour is escalating at an alarming rate with developments in digital technology.
Common ‘sexts’ include images of young boys exposing themselves or masturbating, boys who have requested girls to remove their clothing and images of sexual acts which would be considered by most as pornographic.

Dewayne's World Of Sport
Hi everyone I’m Dewayne from the BBSports Team, leaving my mark on the BB Blog!
July has been a very busy month for the BBS Team with workshops everyday. We have been working mainly in Hackney & Newham, which meant lots of travelling across London, mostly sat still in traffic I must add.
The last two weeks have been slightly different for the BBSports team, we had two additional members join us on loan (work experience) – Josh and Dewayne from Shirley High School to see how BBS works and to help them develop their knowledge of the working environment both in the office and out on the ground.
From their first day they got stuck in, they helped with planning and admin in the office and out on the ground they slotted into our workshops effortlessly. By the end of it they had firmly established themselves as part of the team and I am looking forward to working with the boys in the near future. Well-done guys great work it’s been a pleasure!!
Note to school: Shirley High you have some great ambassadors for your school
Alas it is all nearing an end though as the schools are getting closer to their summer holidays, teachers are starting to let their hair down and pupils are getting extremely excited! It’s a good time for teachers and pupils but the work here at BBTowers goes on!
Summer brings a bit of downtime here at the office, it will allow us to assess our sports programs, develop new ones and refine our deliveries and team procedures. It is also a time where the sports team does what it does best! WATCH SPORT!!!!
As the name suggests BBSports is charged with keeping up to date with all the sporting events happening over the coming months also I have to acknowledge the amount sports that have already been completed this summer:
Wimbledon – Congrats Rafa Nadal well deserved also congrats Henman on your first Final appearance (all be it commentating)!!
Euro 2008 – Congrats Spain you were great to watch!! Also congrats Peter Jones for having Spain in our office sweepstake
Up and coming events……
Olympics – Will Tyson Gay win Gold? Should Dewayne Chambers run? How many medals will Team GB get?
The Open – Who will win with Tiger being out for the season?
Cricket – Will England beat South Africa?
Premier League – Will Chelsea pip Man Utd this year? Am I right to write off Arsenal’s chances before the season even starts!!!
And the big question that everyone has on their lips…
How many things will Spurs win this year? COYS!!!!!
I look forward to all your answers peeps
Dewayne signing out.

Hey.
I just would like to say, this group is awesome. I got bullied when I was young too, tell an adult, parent, best friend, teacher, whoever. Just remember, you're not alone.
Blessings.

Michael.R once again...

I was in year 9 near the RE room & he blocked me in with his friend, as i walk past i get tripped up, i get up & there he stands, right in my face, 2 years i held it in & *BANG* couldn't remember what i done till i see my hands flying around is face as I'm on top of him, he came out with a broken arm, sprained wrist, swelled up bloody nose & a face like it was bitten by dogs, I am i quiet boy, I'm also a anti bully, i thought 9 years of my life to gain my reputation like everyone else.
This was no made up story, this was a tough time for me, I left a lot out because i dont want to tell the stories of my pains & terrors. You guys will be okay i promise, any problems Email me: Nedachi@live.co.uk
share your problems & become as hard as a snake bite
give those bullies some Venom & show you hate them with a passion like i did.
Michael.R once again...
(1)
I finished primary school & couldn't wait for secondary, 2 years of no bullying past & all my negative thoughts were gone after my problem. I started secondary & its was fantastic for the first day, no problems whats so ever other than some lad a year higher than me walks past & said some childish joke about my bag, thought nothing of it till after school when he said "Fight me" i just smiled & said "It takes a man to walk away" & carried on walking home.
I put up with 5 girls stealing my things out my bag, calling me names, pushing me around & that one boy who wants to fight me so much, 2 years past 3 of the girls got expelled for bullying one of them all alone, she kept her head down, i forgave her, but the young boy, year 10.
Michael.R again finishing off my past.
As i was saying...
I got my head down & worked hard through my new primary school, The day came quickly & i was ready for another delightful day in year 4 i started getting a bit nervous walking into my class room as the deep silence that passed me, not a single sound, just eyes.
I sat down got on with my work no problem,
Break arrived & I'm eating a chocolate bar. the annoying essence of bullying arrived & i look at this young fellow as he's walking towards me & gave him the most terrifying stair of a lifetime & ran towards him, his face of shock made me feel like i was the one in charge for a change, i spoke calmly but still with the stair, "If you dont stop, i will be break you" this 11year old boy soon was shocked by my soft but powerful words. ever since then no problems in the new primary school.
I am not a anonymous hidding beboer because i am not afraid,
My name is Michael Roper & i have no fear anymore against bullying i spent 9 years of my life being frightened, scared, intimidated, paranoid & unhappy.
From the start of Primary school, i mean right at the start year 1 i got pushed around because i wasn't from where i live now, i use to live in Essex, Southend. so i had a funny accent.
All they way through primary till i left because the school done nothing about it. i moved schools, got on okay on my first day till i got some attention of some people, then it started again. another 2 years of fighting back & holding my chin up & showing no fear or nervous interactions. I was a quite lad never spoke much, just got my head down & worked hard.
