THE CF PROJECT 2009

Shaun is delighted to launch his exciting and very special project – THE CF PROJECT 2009!

Shaun and his team will be working with The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, West Dunbartonshire Branch CFT and 15 year old Kelli Gallacher (Junior Ambassador for the CFT) to raise funds and awareness for the UK’s most commonly inherited life threatening genetic condition. HOW IT ALL STARTED!
Shaun and Kelli met by chance in the summer of 2007 at a photo shoot in London. They struck up an instant friendship. Some of you may remember Kelli from Shaun’s concerts in Blackpool when Shaun invited Kelli, who is a dancer, to perform at some of his shows. Nothing unusual, you may think, to have a dancer at a show. Kelli just happens to be a dancer who has Cystic Fibrosis. Kelli returned the favour in November 2007 and invited Shaun to perform at a fundraising event she was involved in.

A couple of months ago, Shaun was back in Scotland to entertain the crowds at another CF Fundraiser organised by West Dunbartonshire Branch CFT. It was at this event that Shaun decided to become more involved and try to help to make a difference to the lives of the 8000 people in the UK who have the condition. On the evening, Shaun finished his performance by singing a dance version of ‘HERO’ while Kelli did a fantastic dance routine. Again, nothing unusual, except that Shaun and Kelli rehearsed separately 200 miles apart! This performance by these 2 friends was outstanding, heart warming and very special.

THE PROJECT
Shaun and his team have been busy in the recording studio, setting down a new recording of ‘Hero’ which will be available soon as a digital download. The download bundle will also include ‘The Rose’ and a video performance of ‘Hero’ featuring Kelli and Shaun. All money raised will be donated to the CF Trust to enable them to continue to work towards a cure for the condition.

Shaun and Kelli are delighted to be working on this project along with everyone else involved. They are especially grateful to Shaun Rogerson Promotions, Lee Robson, The CF Trust for giving this project their full backing, Sandra Lees School of Dance, Ian Thompson of White Wolf Recording Studio and Dean Seddon at Relevant Create.
