Lenny Kravitz' song 'A New Door' (from his new album) shows a different side of the artist. Where he sympathizes with his fans and listeners hardships in life, and that there is hope out there - in God. He was meant to perform tomorrow night in Fukuoka here in Japan, one of my work colleagues (non-christian) was going to attend it - however it was cancelled due our 13th typhoon. This song was introduced to me by her (shes like his wife hahaha ) nah - shes married lol. Anyways - her father just passed away, and she is one of my Teacher Assistants. She said she found hope in this song. (also with her experiences from our Christian School/methods) God even used Lenny - he didnt have to sing about this. May it give assurance to those who are fighting hardships.

We really need to check ourselves and warn others. Everything we do now must be with eternity in mind, not money, jobs, acceptance but ETERNAL LIFE!!!! Once the Sunday law starts...All our choices have been made, the 5 virgins are behind closed doors at the wedding feast. What are we doing for Christ today? So I arrived back to CNS-AUS, just friday passed - and just getting here was havoc! None the less all thanks to the man upstairs, that i arrived back home safely. Its been a year and its relaxing to finally be with familiar faces, new additions and loved ones once again. The atmosphere in itself is relaxing in comparison to that of Japans rush, and has me wondering whether i should be doing something (i'm wasting time) - though what? Reuniting with family, has reminded me how a year can make a difference in ones life - my niece is about to start HS next year, cousins who remind me of my early teenage days reflect the curiosity, energy and innocence of their time, my brothers and sisters whose families are growing in numbers, then those before us - my parents, uncles/aunts and grandparents. A year can mean growth, and yet also aging. What does time mean to us?

I know for me and my situation, living and working abroad means - missing out on quality time with family/loved ones. Also losing a day or two traveling back to Oz and also back to Japan. With my work, I'm pretty much a workaholic as my Japanese peers, mostly because I find purpose and meaning in it, and the outcomes are always rewarding - in that it involves the changing, nurturing and directing of young lives. So excessive work hours and less time out for the better of my health. Would you call that good use of time?

Being away and returning periodically almost on a yearly basis (as i have in the last 3 years), reveals to me more the changes, than those who see them on a daily basis. Being independent/alone can sometimes give you more time to think about your past, your present and future. What means most to you, what obstacles you climbed, forgiveness, dealing with anger, love - what makes me - Me.

Being Japan, I have seen my share of natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, typhoons - one natural disaster after the other. The Times have changed, and will continue to do so, as people will come and go. Though through it all, God and His Word stands firm, never changing. From my travels and work, I find people still seeking purpose in their lives, answers to their questions, those who reflect a strong outward self, whilst inside they are crumbling with the need of human love, acceptance and equality. We have all this time in our lives, yet so little. Is it how we use it?

Hmmm i dont know where my bloggin is going hahaha - but all in all, dear Lord thank you for your everlasting love, changing love, forgiving love, accepting love - that time and time again when we fall, you wash our sleight clean - when we come to you whole heartedly. I cant thank you enough, for bringing me home once again, time does not tell us when our loved ones will suddenly depart in sickness or sudden circumstances. That although i may complain with the delays of travel, and the time it takes me to do things - you are the one that keeps me and my loved ones safe. Whether the unforeseen happens, there is nothing but praise for you, and i ask that you give me the strength from within and from loved ones to help me get through, but I know that you are in control, and I leave everything in your hands. God is so good! Throughout my time in Japan, you were always there seeing me through it all. You were always true to your promises. And time after time, i see you work your wonders, through people, our children, my workplace, surroundings and strangers . Lord I lift your name up High!

Time, no matter where or when - remember He who has brought you thus far. I love you Lord, with all my heart.

so for now - im going to enjoy my time here at home! And take with me the memories to keep me going for yet another year. To my family and friends, love you's all. My cousins... u know who u are, although years have parted us, you were never far from my prayers/thoughts and heart. I love you guys so much!
