- I had a pastel drawing exhibited at the 2008 Chatelherault Arts Festival, 2 of my photos were in the 2009 Hue & Cry Tour Booklet, one of my mixed media creations was chosen for Redbubble's Featured Gallery in March 2009 and one of my photos appears in the inside CD cover for Kung Fu's latest EP CD Magnetic Storm and they're using my artwork on their My Space for 2 of their tracks "Stranger" and "Old Before My Time" (an up-and-coming band from Kilmarnock - check them out! - and maybe they'll pay me! ).
I currently have 2 pastel paintings in the East Kilbride Arts Centre Exhibition and will have one in the upcoming "Homecoming" Chatelherault Arts Festival 2009 in October!

My Conversation With Eric Knowles At The Antiques Roadshow In Dundee Today
I only had a plate that my mum had given me and some of my own old tat that I was curious about. So I unwrapped the plate first and:-
he said: "Oh, that's interesting!"
and I said: "Is it?"
he said: "it's a very unusual shape, but it's got a crack on the back"
I said: "Yes, well, it's used every day"
He said: "It's from about 1935 and worth about 10 pounds"
and I thought: "Shit, this is the best thing I've got!!"
Then I brought out my little china lady in a full length dress that's actually a bell and the little Pekinese dog that I thought went with her.
he said" "Oh, my god!"
I thought: "Wow! It's Ming Dynasty and worth a fortune!"
he said: "My mother had one exactly like this!"
I said: "Really!" still hoping it was Ming Dynasty and worth a fortune
then I said: "Is the wee dog hers? Cos I thought maybe it hides under her skirt, like this?"
he said: nothing for a few seconds
then: "No, only in YOUR warped mind. Though he IS a Peke"
I thought "Peak! - my gawd, he's making rude jokes!"
he said: "It was made in Japan - in the 1960's and not really worth anything"
Undefeated I pulled out my final piece of tat - a little green plate with a surreal painting of a seahorse on it.
I said: "I know that this is probably total tat!"
he said: "What makes you think it's tat" - he has a cruel sense of humour that man
I said" "Well..." not sure yet if he was joking or serious "It reminded me of Salvador Dahli paintings and I think it says Majorca on the back?"
He then got out his eye piece to examine the back where there's a drawing of an island and some letters
he said: "Isle Of White actually - it's the IOW that gives it away!"
I said: "Oh, this is EVEN MORE HUMILIATING than I thought it would be!"
and the first 6 people in the queue behind us burst out laughing!!!
So I made a great show of humbly packing away all my tat and heroically said: "Well, it was lovely to meet you!"
he said: "it was lovely to meet you too"
Wot a nice man!
Who would have thought that total public humiliation could be such FUN!
Bring it on!

I was due last Sunday!!!! This wee baby seems to happy in my belly and doesn't want to come out - very frustrating. Hopefully something happens soon x
the kidz are doin great, but i could do with sleeping for a week solid!
