Here are Randy and I's vows to each other
Randy,
Every day I am overwhelmed by how much I love you. God could not have given me a better man to meet my needs and to love me the way that you do. You are my greatest treasure that I will love and cherish for the rest of my life.
•I love you for your devotion to God.
•I love you for your pursuit of knowledge.
•I love you for your integrity.
•I love you for your dedication.
•I love you for your humor.
•I love you for your gentleness.
•And I love you for the ways that you make me feel and for bringing out so many good things in me.
Because of all of this and so much more, I am able to make these vows to you today.
•I vow to always love you for who you are. Whatever might change or whatever stays the same, I will love you.
•I vow to always respect you and treat you the way you want and deserve to be treated.
•I vow to be your biggest fan and support your journey in life.
•I vow to be honest with you by being open when I agree or disagree with you and being open when you agree or disagree with me.
•I vow to take care of you when you need me and to let you take care of me when I need you.
•I vow to always put our marriage and relationship first before my own personal desires.
•I vow to always be my authentic self and give to you the person God created me to be.
•I vow to always keep God as the third person in our marriage. It is that Divine Love that will enable me to keep all other vows that I make to you.
•And I vow to never take our love or marriage for granted.
We have been given a gift from God in each other and I look forward to finding ways each day for the rest of our lives to show both you and God my gratitude and devotion for giving me such a love as this.
These things I vow in the presence of God and of the family and friends he has graciously given me.
Jana,
How blessed I am to have found someone who fits me so well--someone who understands all the things that make me who I am, who accepts and embraces all the weaknesses, and delights in and encourages the strengths? What would I do without you?
•I love your sensitivity to, and your love and respect for, beauty and greatness.
•I love that you have carved out a world-view using not only on your mind, but also your heart.
•I love your strength of character, your open-mindedness, and your independence.
•I love the way you understand yourself, others, and God; and that you are constantly refining these understandings.
•I love that you are sharp, witty, fun-loving, curious and adventurous.
•I love that you bring some of these things out in me.
I love you.
C.S. Lewis, reflecting on his life with his spouse Joy, observed that a good wife is all at one time a daughter and mother, a mistress and lover; a pupil and teacher, a subject and sovereign; a trusty comrade, friend, shipmate, and fellow soldier. When I realized that you had become all of these things, I knew you would be my wife.
So here we are. And this is where I belong.
•I vow to love, respect, and care for you throughout the difficulties and distresses of life.
•I vow to submit myself to the task of keeping and enhancing our happiness and security together as a married couple.
•I vow continued growth as a person, so that my capacity to love and be loved grows as we grow older.
•I vow continuance in the Christian faith, so that the foundation we have built our relationship on won't be shaken, and the cord and source of commonality that holds us together and relates us to one another won't be weakened.
•I vow my allegiance to you.
These things I vow in the presence of God and of the family and friends he has graciously given me.

We're back
We got back from the honeymoon on Friday and both are not ready to go back to work tomorrow. I had so much fun at the wedding and I don't think I was too much of a basket case during the day. Thanks to everyone for all of their help and just being there. The honeymoon was soooo relaxing. We had a whirlpool bathtub in our room that I used every night. We had massages on Monday went mopedding on an island in Lake Superior on Tuesday and just did a whole lot of nothing the rest of the time. We both read an entire book and the bed and breakfast was so great. As soon as I get pictures from the wedding back I'll put them up and when ever I get around to it, I'll put up honeymoon pictures too (all but the naughty ones)

Wedding
I'm not Bridezilla yet, but I feel it coming! No really things are going pretty smooth, but I am just really anxious and stressed hoping that everything goes good. I think I am most stressed about the reception decoration looking nice. I have all this stuff for it and I know what I want it to look like, but I have no way of knowing that it will turn out that way. Whatever.
The reception down home is September 2, from 4-7. It will be at mom and dad's church. University Baptist on Sherman Ave, right across from the university.1 komentarz 1221 dni

Today is my b-day and it is snowing!!! Fabulous. Hope you are well. I was rockin' out in the car over the weekend with your wedding CD (Richard loves it, BTW) and sang along with you on your track. I don't think I've probably told you how good you sound on that song but Richard was impressed and I can always say I knew you when....

You'll have to send me photos of your newly painted, decorated for the holidays apartment!! Any plans for the holidays? Richard and I are taking the train up on Thanksgiving Day to Manhattan where we will gorge ourselves on a feast at one or both of my aunts' apartments.
Christmas...still not totally sure...probably spend the day with the Mehrings in Silver Spring. Planning a long weekend to the Midwest in January. I miss everyone!
Did you hear that Balch is back in town?? Moving to Chambana, IL *smile*. -

Kaara Hervold Mehring137 tygodni temuHey Mrs. Troutman-Miller,
Hope you are looking forward to a lovely Easter. My parents arrive tomorrow and will stay through Easter Sunday. We are having the big dinner with Richard's parents. Fortunately, everyone gets along quite well. This week has been busy...so busy. I have become very good at taking naps in the library just to catch up on sleep. It's like being an undergraduate again!
But it makes me appreciate the moments I have with my boy, which are frequently spent enjoying simple pleasures, like long walks and good films. We saw "The Lives of Others" last week and that is a beautiful, touching film. Do see it when you can!
A joyous Easter to you and Randy as we celebrate the love of Christ! -

I haven't heard from you in awhile, but Michelle and JM are going to be out my way this weekend. I'm excited to see them both and they will meet Richard. I think we are going to take them down to Dupont Circle, a great part of D.C. near Embassy Row. Richard's favorite bar, the Brickskeller, i...
