- Since we opened in 2005, Athlone School of Music has been training, advising and guiding students of all ages in music performance. We are the only music school in the midlands to offer students accreditation in the popular music genre. our students are examined by both the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Thames Valley University.

- VOCAL
- We teach breathing exercises, vocal training, grades, practice techniques and a variety of styles from jazz to blues to contemporary pop music
- DRUMS
- Not only do we teach a variety of rhythym techniques and styles from beginner to advanced but we also examine the theory behind drumming and demonstrate techniques for setting up and tuning drum kits.
- GUITAR
- Our guitar courses can be taught on a private basis, or as part of a group. They cover a variety of grades, chords, techniques, and musical styles.
- PIANO
- We provide training in all areas of piano music: scales, chords, sight-reading, notation, fingering, and improvisational skills, all of which can be used in preperation for the junior and leaving cert exams.
- BASS
- All styles of music and playing are covered in our bass guitar course. We teach grades, explain techniques, define rhythym and melody, and instrument set-up and theory.
- REHERSAL ROOMS
- We have rehearsal rooms to practice in for both individual musicians and for groups which are free to students. We can also provide instruments and sound equipment if required.

Good Afternoon all.
Just letting everyone know that we are very happy to officially launch our Scholarship Fund Today.
From here on, all fundraisers, gigs etc... will go toward providing free music education to both talented musicians and those in need.
Our first event is the tablequiz tonight in the Palace Loft (8-9pm). 4 to a team! €10 p/person
