I thought you'd like to know that the deputy editor of The Banter magazine is a Project Scotland volunteer on a 6 month placement to West Dunbartonshire Volunteer Centre . I'm having a great time here and have become involved in a very rewarding project which encourages 12 - 25 year olds in the area to design and produce their own quality magazine for their peers in the local schools, college and community centres. The magazine has also provided a forum for young people to start their own community projects which will hopefully take place later in the year.
Anyone willing to show support or write for The Banter is very welcome and we are looking for advertisers and supporters for this community project which helps young people to express themselves and to become actively involved with their community. If you think that you could help this project which involves one of your own volunteers, please let us know.
