The we're having a quiz to raise funds, you're all welcome to come along if you can, it's being held in Jinty McGuinty's, on wednesday at 6.45pm.
£5 per person, with plenty of prizes (thanks to Nelly n co!) and a couple of raffles.

Dear Gaels,

Club events have been lined up for August 2008. We urge all members to take note of these events and their dates and ensure their attendance at these functions.

Friday 1st August - Club quiz night to be held in the Arlington. £2 per person, no limit to numbers in teams and prizes will be announced on the night. We urge all members to turn out for what has been a successful club social night in the past.

Saturday 30th August - Club race night to be held in PJ Champs. More details and prizes to be announced. All members will be emailed this week an A4 poster which they are requested to advertise in staff rooms, etc. Sponsor sheets will be given out to club members within the next seven days also. Members are reminded about the success of last years' event - the most successful fundraising event that the club has held in many years. We want this one to be even bigger and we urge all members to assist in any way they can.

hey guys just to remind you about the Gaels dinner dance. It's being held on Sat 19th April at the Thistle hotel, Cambridge Street. You can get tickets off myself or paul gallagher, £30 for each. This includes a 3 course meal and a ceili. Please tell all your friends and bring a crowd with you, there more the merrier!!

Also if the team fancy visiting Toronto you're invited to our annual Dennis Leyne 9-a-side memorial tournament to be held at the end of June.
Teams from all over Canada plus visitors from North America taking part. We can give you a help with a package deal from this side.

Please note the change in venue for the Aidan Murphy memorial match, to be held tomorrow Saturday 26th January 2008.
It will now be held at the Gaelic pitch in Bellahouston Park, at Mosspark Boulevard, at 2pm.
Buses will be going in and out from GUU steps from 12 o'clock till 1 at the latest, so get there early.
We hope to see everyone out to support this extremely important event, and to show respect for Aidan's family, who have all come over from Ireland.
It promises to be a great day and evening, but we need all of you there to make it so. Please give of your time for this extremely worthwhile event, which both ourselves and Bonmahon GFC are extremely proud to be able to put on in Aidan's memory.

On Thursday 31st January, Glaschu Gaels Senior mens team will be having a meeting in PJ Champs, Byrers road, Glasgow at 9pm. All current players must attend and the door is open for all new/prospective players are welcome to come along. The meeting itself will not very long and will outline briefly the season ahead.

OK Kids, Glasgow University Gaelic Football Team's annual fundraiser night out is here!

We're having a quiz next Thursday night 24th Jan at 6.30pm in Jinty's on Ashton Lane.
We hope for a night of fun, frolics, partial nudity and singing.

There will be excellent prizes courtesy of the wonderful publicans and proprieters of Glasgow, which will be put up for both the quiz prizes and a wonderfully pocket-friendly raffle to be held on the night!

We're having it good and early to allow for those who have work or uni the next morning, but rest assured, if one would like to stay on a little later, one will not be short of company!!

This is the one and only time we ask you to turn up and support the club for the upcoming British Championships, so your presence will be appreciated greatly!

Plus you get to see Enda Gavin in a tux trying to woo every lady in the bar.
Lads, hang on to your girlfriends! The Big Dogg's in town!

We are having a club meeting at PJ champs this thursday 11th october at 7.30pm. Any items for the agenda should be sent asap. Any requests for minutes of previous meetings will only be sent out electronically.

*GUGFC TRAINING SCHEDULE 2007/2008*

Tuesday: Training in Garscube, be on GU steps for 7.45pm or make your own way out if you prefer. Training on astro turf so bring trainers and boots (blades).
Thursday: Circuits in Hillhead School, 7pm.
Saturday mornings: 5k run / cardio gym session for all interested.
Sunday: Matches. If no matches there will be training on Garscube pitch.

Anyone interested in training with committed bunch of lads all winter, or helping out on the training/managerial side you're more than welcome.
