New Live Venue at the Pulse
On Sat 12th May , the Pulse Niteclub, Letterkenny officially opens it’s all new Live Venue. For the last 19 years the Pulse has lead the way in entertainment throughout the North West offering clubbers the choice of live and disco music.
Last year the family run business invested substantially in a completely new refit of it’s Disco raising standards to a new level. “It’s always been our policy to continually re-invent ourselves. We know our own crowd, we listen and value their views and don’t get too caught up with the hype of other clubs . Our music policy has been mainly radio driven. Our DJ’s interact and play requests and our staff are people friendly”. Manager Mark Crossan said. There is a general consensus locally that the Pulse is probably the only niteclub in Letterkenny that has consistently maintained an over 20’s admission policy on Saturday night. On this Mark went to say that “oftentimes it was tempting to sacrifice quantity for quality but Saturday’s are strictly over 20’s and that’s another reason for our success”. A key feature on Saturdays has been the Hen Party phenomenon with the Pulse being the first choice venue for that all important night.
The Hen and two bridesmaids get in free and there’s free bubbly to get the party going.
This Saturday night (12th) is another milestone and another big investment for the Crossan family as the all new Live Venue throws opens it’s doors and presents Luv Bug live. It will be a momentous occasion for the band also as they celebrate 30 years “on the road” with the original line up due on stage at midnight. Regular patrons will see an enormous change in the layout, décor and atmosphere. “There has always been a demand for live music and we’re delighted to provide it. Our experience has been that people like to mingle between the two clubs which offers great choice and excellent value” Mark Crossan said. Management have recently built a smoking room that has being critically acclaimed as one of the best in the North West.
The Pulse has recently staged a number of Teenage Discos and again, this has proved a phenomenal success. Prior to starting, the club done some in depth market research and found there was a musically well informed young audience who wanted to see top DJ’s in a niteclub environment. Pulse have a minus zero alcohol and good behavioral policy in force. and the Discos run on occasional Fridays from 9pm -12pm.
The Pulse has had a long relationship with the students of Letterkenny I.T. and in student’s speak, Thursday’s are legendary.
All in all the Pulse covers the whole age spectrum from teenagers, to students to adults.

can i just say i dont mind d pulse,it grand but the bouncers r an absolute disgusting disgrace.who do they think they r?!!they over-react and think the have absolute authority and handle women disgracefully.i had an incident recently and we were completely innocent and only asking y they were letting people in before us.they were very violent and its not over.
