Service Thursday night at Sand Mountain was really good. There was not a big crowd but the ones who were there were blessed. The Lord blessed during the testimony service. Sis. Freda Furgerson was thanking the Lord for freeing her soul a few services back, and she was truly still rejoicing. Bro. Terry preached our first love (Rev. 2). He also read the scripture about charity (1 Corinthians 13) and the Lord really blessed him in bringing the Word to us. After Bro. Terry finished, there were many who got up to thank God for what he had sent. God has really been blessing in our services and we are all thankful! Our regular meeting is coming up (3rd Sunday June 21). I know that there are a lot of revivals starting, but if you would like somewhere to visit consider Sand Mountain!

We went with Bro. Terry and Sis. Barbara Wright 1st Sunday morning to Meridianville. Services there were very good. Bro. Greg Mullins testified about the Lord helping him and helping his mind, this led to Bro. Dale asking the ministers if they would like to go ahead. Bro. Royce Estes got up first. He read the 5th ch. of Peter verses 1-11.

"1The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.
4And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

Bro. Wayne Williams of Williams Cove talked next reading from 2 Timothy 3. This scripture teaches us that in the last days perilous times shall come. Brother Wayne told how he felt that the Children of God are losing their interest in going to church. He also said that he believes the fear of God is not as strong with people as it once was.

Bro. Terry Wright of Sand Mtn. was the last to preach he read from Matthew 24 where Jesus tells the signs of his coming. He also opened the scriptures of chapters 12-13.

Thursday night service at Sand Mountain was good. There was no preaching but, there were a lot of really good testimonies. People were still thanking the Lord for the word of God that he sent last weekend and last Thursday night. Bro. David Ashley and his wife Sis. Joann hit a deer Wednesday night. The accident messed their car up pretty bad, but they were both uninjured. Both of them were thanking the Lord for watching over them. Towards the end of the service Bro. Terry talked and was encouraging us to pray for our revival coming up in July. There are many who go to church here that have lost children and he was telling us to start praying now for our revival. Bro. Terry also asked that we begin praying in our closets and begging God to bless. Service was very good.
