January event
We had our January drive today (28.02.2007) and it was a complete success and showed how the club is growing and developing. This morning we had our hardcore members in the forest at first light followed by the general populace after breakfast at The Wicklow Heather and the general membership also included some fairly new members.
So we managed to have at least three levels of driving skill accomodated in one days driving. The hardcore guys kept themselves busy with the extreme tracks putting their mud tyres, lifted suspensions and winches to good use. The experienced members (and some would say wiser) indulged in a gates exercise that demanded the highest of driving skills to complete properly. The new and inexperienced members were treated to some fine greenlaning that pushed the capabilities of the Landrovers sufficiently far enough to give a memorable driving experience. All in all every driver and passenger that took part today enjoyed a full-on, off-roading day, and it's going to be hard to follow this kind of high standard throughout the remainder of the year (although we will).
Check out the photos to get a flavour of the day and hopefully I will have shots of the extreme off-roading uploaded soon.0 Comments 329 weeks
