About Me

Me, Myself, and I
He was raised in Burbank California and spent most of his childhood drawing cartoons and watching old movies.
He attended California Institute of the Arts. His first job was as an animator for Disney working on the films The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron. Disney then gave him the green light to make Vincent an animated short about a boy who wanted to be just like Vincent Price, who narrated the short. It won several awards.
Frankenweenie was his first live-action film, a half hour long twist on the tale of Frankenstein it wasn’t released because it was deemed unfit for children. Paul Reubens loved it and invited Burton to direct his first full-length movie Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.
Beetle Juice was his next big film also becoming a big hit. Warner Bros then entrusted him with Batman, based on the comic books. It was the most financially successful film of the year and his biggest box-office hit to date.

He has made many more movies since then.
