SO huge apologies for the lack of updates, but hey, life is chaotic- I'm sure you all feel the same. News on my side is that I am gonna be a mommy in Sep... put a bit of a kink in the wedding plans as I'm not to keen in wedding photos with a bump, so that has been moved to next year! Family is great and business is even better! Wicked has been going incredibly well attaining some awsome band management contracts and doing some brilliant events. So a big plea to all my durban buddies, we are busy booking one of our bands a KZN tour and I need to get updated on the live music venues in Durbs... Its scheduled for July so I should see you guys for a bit, BUMP and all.

Well what can I say? The past 2 months have been utter chaos with the loss of my Ouma & my Aunt Dorine. Work is up to my eyeballs and I've just wanted to crawl under a rock as I've beem really sick, but hey? I'm here to tell the story aren't I?

MAJOR NEWS OF THE DAY= PAUL PROPOSED LAST NIGHT!Yup Shez is getting married... SSSSH ok, take deep breaths, I know its the last thing any of you suspected but I have never been happier.

Sad news is that my darling little kitten Columbus died today. She managed to pull a guitar amp over onto her and passed away before reaching the vet. She was the little light that brightened our days, Paul & I both rushed home after work every night because she'd be there waiting, with that unconditional love for her mum and dad seen usually in only the canine breed.

Columbi- we miss u already but know you've been moved to a greater purpose. Love you forever Mum & Dad xxxx

There comes a time in one’s life when you hit reality hard… and more often than not you come off second best. For me that time is now.

The future is a bleak and desolate landscape which has you shying away from it, just in case you actually took that wrong step somewhere along the journey we call “growing up”.

So here I sit- pen in hand. Trying to decipher the enigma we call life.

“In essence, what is living?

Some people “live” their lives trudging through daily tasks, never quite seeing the beauty in everyday things.

The special person in my life laughs at me. He sees the joy I find in the solitary flower that has managed to push its way though the pavement or at the ducks we feed at the dam near our house. He understands my theory that this is what “living” truly is- finding joy in every breath you take; in every sunbeam that warms your back; in even the spring showers that sprinkle down, tickling your nose with their gentle drips…

So this brings me back to where my preamble begins. How do the curve balls life throws at us bring such bleakness to this radiant life? To figure that out takes patience and time, and who knows if the answer will even be found whilst on this journey? It all boils down to time and the old adage… “TIME WILL TELL”
