Missing People Wins First 'Third Sector Excellence' Award
At a prestigious ceremony in London on 25 September, Missing People won its first ‘Third Sector Excellence’ Award for communications, marketing and campaigning.
Missing People was nominated alongside ActionAid, Brandon Trust, Crimestoppers, RNID and the Prince’s Trust in the Best Annual Report category. The award recognised ‘the charity that best communicated its organisation’s mission, operations and achievements’.
The Third Sector Excellence Awards has rapidly gained pre-eminence as ‘the awards to win’ in this dynamic, challenging, yet hugely rewarding sector for registered charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises and campaigning groups.
Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Missing People, Alison Cowan, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the charity, especially given the high quality of entries this year.
“Working alongside The Good Agency on the charity’s first digital Annual Review, the final product absolutely delivered on the brief, set in a reader-focused way.”
A 48-page special supplement about the Third Sector Excellence Awards, with pictures, details of the winners and reports from the awards night will be published with Third Sector magazine on 6 October.
