Fruits Basket is about a girl named Tohru Honda and her sudden position.
One day her classmate, Yuki Sohma, found out about her position and offers her to stay at his home, temporarily.
She had no choice but to agree to his offer since it was only a temporary residence.
She was really happy that these guys were kind enough to offer her a home.
But what she doesn't know is that the Sohma's are hiding a deep dark secret that only a certain amount of the Sohma Family knows about this secret (only the main branch of the family knows about this secret).

Fruits Basket is in Anime and Manga,
but I highly recommend that you read the manga because the anime seems so incomplete for me,
like the ending doesn't make sense compared to the manga itself.

I think you can watch the anime in www.veoh.com,
but I'm not so sure myself since I saw it with my friends' Fruits Basket DVD,
hehe... =)

The anime has 26 episodes.
And the manga has 23 volumes (136 chapters).

The manga is fun to read because it has extras, Natsuki Takaya's thoughts, etc....

Other names that fans call it is "Fruits Basket", "Furuba", "FB" (Natsuki Takaya likes to call it "FB") and "Furubasu".
