Have you ever wanted to do something but then you were pressured not to do it? Did you want to play on your Playstation 3, but then your mum forced you to study 24/7? Did you ever want to learn how to dance, but then your parents dumped you at piano school? Did you want to become something, that other people did not recognise?

Life has many ups and downs, life is short. In your short life, you should do as many things that you WANT to do, as many things you have dreamed of doing!
Dont waste your life on things that other people tell you to do.

Lester was your average teenager, but he had a dream. His dream was to become a policeman, just like his father was. But his father had died on duty, and his mother Loisa had forbidden him to ever speak of being a policeman. Lesters dreams were shattered, his mum threw him into tutoring, and he was to become lawyer. His goal was to become a lawyer and make this society a more justly place.

But things didnt turn out as they should've, after completing 5 years at university and gaining a double degree in law and commerce, Lester got brain cancer. He was only 24 years old. He died in hospital 3 months later, with regret, not being able to become a policeman, not being able to follow his dream. Even though he wouldnt have lived long as a policeman, he would have rather died doing what he loved.

Alex another average teenager, also had a dream. His dream was to become an average breakdancer, and a japanese teacher. But just like Lester, he had obstacles in his way of achieving his dreams. His mum constantly banned him from going out to jam with his friends, thinking that breakdancing was a major form of distraction and dangerous activity and forced him to study. But Alex was sick of his mum telling him what to do, he had decided to follow his dream. He didnt need to study 24/7 just to become a japanese teacher.

He secretly jammed with his friends at school, and by himself at home. His school marks werent exactly the best, especially in maths, but that didnt worry him, cause he was happy. He was doing what he enjoyed most. Dancing. Soon after, his mum had recognised what joy dancing brought Alex, and so she permitted him to jam with his friends. But life is short, and 2 short years later, Alex died in a car accident. But he died smiling, with no regrets in his life, because he had been enjoying his life from start till end.

Dont let others hinder your dreams, dreams are for following, not for abandoning. Never give up, do what you enjoy! Nothing matters, as long as you are happy!
