Most people fly mode 2 and I would recommend you trying to learn it also. Mode 2 is throttle on left (up & down) and rudder (left right) and elevator on the right (up down), aileron (left right). Apart form being practical it will make it easier if you decide to fly heli's. FMS is fine for getting started but it is very basic and it can be very different from flying. Its good for orientation etc.

I may be going to UL or LIT next year though to do a part-time course in business. Is that a triathlon youre at there in your pics? how is it going for you? I've been training fairly hard for the last few months but have only now started to get back into some kind of shape!
