I am a DJ in as well as a PR person and a radio presenter of two radio shows on ccr. I also sell lesbian, gay and bisexual products too ,

If you have a gig coming up, party, wedding or just an excuse to party and you're looking for a DJ, drop me a line.

  • TOP TEN things you should not say to a DJ by Unknown Author

    Got this off DJ Tonics page...

    1. PLAY SOMETHING GOOD...SOMETHING WE CAN DANCE TO!

    The DJ has to play for more than one person...so what you hate may be another's favorite song and EVERYTHING played here can be danced to one way or another.


    2. WOULD YOU PLAY SOMETHING WITH A "BEAT"

    BE SERIOUS! We know of NO songs played in a club that don't have some sort of BEAT!


    3. I DON'T KNOW WHO SINGS IT AND I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG, BUT IT GOES LIKE THIS....

    PLEASE don't sing for the DJ. They have to put up with smoke filled rooms and dangerous decibel levels all night long...Do them a favor and DON'T give them a rendition of your favorite song.


    4. EVERYBODY WANTS TO HEAR IT!

    Oh, sure ... you polled everyone in the club and, as their spokesperson, you're requesting the song.


    5. EVERYBODY WILL DANCE IF YOU PLAY IT!

    The DJ won't. I guess that blows a hole in that theory!


    6. I CAN GET LAID IF YOU PLAY IT!

    Why settle for one night? Buy the album and get laid for a whole month!


    7. I WANT TO HEAR IT NEXT!

    The ONLY people who can get away with that statement write the DJ's paycheck!

    8. WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

    It's a lot easier for you to go have another beer and figure out what you want to hear than it is for the DJ to recite the name of every record in the booth!

    9. HEY, MAN, NOBODY CAN DANCE TO THIS!

    It's NOT advisable to say this when the dance floor is packed (but some people do anyway) ! HOWEVER, even if there is only ONE person on the floor, it STILL contradicts the statement!


    10. PLAY IT SOON, BECAUSE WE'RE LEAVING!

    If your gonna leave after he plays it, why shouldn't he wait till the very last song so you stay all night!

  • A presentation I made at a conference in 2002 in Cork

    Mary’s Story….
    Mary Nugent from Waterford is 22 years old. She has been studying Law in Cork
    for three years. Mary spoke about her long educational adventure. She attended
    a day care centre for physically and mentally disabled children at the age of three,
    then a mainstream Montessori school, before joining a community-based
    playschool.
    "In mainstream school infants’ class was great. I learned how to read and write and
    really enjoyed it. I remained in mainstream education up until 1st standard. Then,
    after being told that my use of a typewriter was too noisy and to take a cuddly toy
    instead, I was moved to boarding-school in Dublin."
    Mary did not like either the distance from her family, the institutional nature of the
    ’school’ or the lack of proper curriculum: "When I went to Dublin, I was put into a
    class where we didn’t read or write or study religion or anything like that. We simply
    played games and sowed plants and flowers." She felt she was learning nothing
    and the family battled to get her back into mainstream education.
    "In 1994, I went to secondary school with no P.A. and I got my Junior Certificate.
    Transition year was difficult for me. I have no hand function and need a Scribe and
    extra assistance. In 5th Year, I got the help but was informed that I would not get
    extra time to do the Leaving Cert… only the 10 minutes extra! I ended up having
    to take the Department of Education to the High Court to get extra time and special
    conditions for the exam. It was a battle but it was worth it. I’m happy to say that
    now I’m in U.C.C. and I love it. It has changed my life."
    Mary had no social life in her first year through lack of supports: "UCC has a
    Disability Officer providing supports but not all I require. Things improved the
    following year." However, personal and educational PA’s as well as taxis put a huge
    financial burden on her. She worries what will happen if she gets a job from her
    degree. "If I get a job in Dublin or Cork, I could not afford assistants to help me at
    work and at home."

  • 26 near over 27 drawing closer...

    Well, my twenty-sixth year on this earth is nearly up and my twenty-seventh is just a week away, less! What a year, lets see. I get closer to my birth mum, who is an incredible woman, I continue dj'in and getting gigs like international women's day, the fun weekend, Cork pride as well as Dublin pride. I get to see The WaterBoys, The Gypsy Kings, meet and interview Tessa Perry as well as hear her play and meet her partner Liz Clark, The Beautiful South, Al Start, The Human League, The Indigo Girls, Joan Armatrading, Grushenka, The Lounge Lizards, The Supreme Diva's, BeRn, Directer and Pink. I also got to see David Norris speak twice, started dance classes, traveled to Spain, started living alone, gave evidence in Court,saw very close friends leave, was used my others, felt in the way, felt useful, cried tons, laughed lots, have 3 nephews living in Ireland. ....will add more later...
