Jim Morrison was born in Melbourne, Florida, 8 December 1943. He started out making short films and media, he then quit and pursed his passion for poetry and writing lyrics.
He later decided to take his poems and turn them into music. Ray Manzarek was a fellow student with Morrison and when he heard Morrison's poetry, he urged Morrison to start a band and make a million dollars. Together they formed 'The Doors' along with Robby Krieger (Guitarist) and John Densmore (Drums).
As a child, Morrison witnessed an accident along side the road of a desert in New Mexico. He witnessed Indians bleeding to death and felt that one of their souls jumped into his.
After a very successful lifetime with his band, he moved to Paris in March 1971 to rethink his life and concentrate on his writing.
His girlfriend, Pam Courson later found Morrison dead in a bathtub, 3rd July 1971. Official reports say he passed away from heart failure.
His memory shall live on forever
