Make Me A Star 2008
Auditions will be held at the Q102 Studio in Glenageary (directions at bottom of blog).
Everyone who wants to audition MUST pre-register by emailing your details to makemeastar@q102.ie
The deadline to register is STRICTLY by 12noon Friday 25th April.
You can only register via email.
No experience is required, but a sunny demeanor and winning personality may help.
Be sure to allow PLENTY OF TIME to get to your audition, the station can be a bit tricky to find if your not familiar with the area.
Bring a bottle of water with you to help with any dry-throat nerves you may encounter.
Relax and be yourself, but remember above all this is a job interview and you should behave accordingly.
So how to find us? The following info may be useful:
We are right beside what used to be the Deerhunter Pub (its been knocked down now)
We are one building down from the An Post Glenageary sorting office.
The road we are on is called Glenageary Avenue (but most sat navs tend to pretend it doesn't exist)
Directions when getting the DART:
Get the Dart to Glenageary station.
Come out of the station and go RIGHT.
At the junction turn LEFT and go ALL the way up the road
You will reach a T-junction, turn RIGHT
Keep going until you reach the roundabout.
On your left past the shops and over the road you will see what appears to be a building site with GREEN BOARDING.
We are beside that.
You should be able to spot Betsy the ice-cream van in the carpark.
Coming from the M50:
Take the exit for Loughlinstown (this is the last exit off the M50 before it joins up with the N/M11 to Wicklow)
Head straight until you come to the roundabout at the CherryWood Science and Technology Park (there is a LUAS bridge being built you can't miss it)
Take 2nd exit off roundabout
Continue straight through 7 sets of lights until you reach another roundabout.
Take the 2nd exit off this roundabout and continue straight
At the next roundabout take the 1st exit SLOWLY as you then take an IMMEDIATE LEFT coming off the roundabout.
The station is on you RIGHT, keep an eye out for Betsy the ice-cream van!
Coming from the city on the N11:
Take a LEFT at Foxrock Church (it is on a corner, called Our Lady Of Perpetual Succor church)
Head straight down the hill
Through 1 set of traffic lights (Deansgrange crossroads)
At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn RIGHT (at Bakers Corner pub, its yellow)
At the 3rd set of traffic lights take the LEFT (not so much a turn as a fork in the road)
At the 4th set of traffic lights take a LEFT
Continue straight down, watch out for a slightly dodge turn in the road)
You will pass a Maxol, some shops and a PowerCity on your left. A Woodies on your right.
As you approach the roundabout you will see GREEN BOARDING on you RIGHT.
Take the RIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER this boarding BEFORE the roundabout.
We are the first building on your right, watch for Betsy the ice-cream van in the carpark.
