- A story from front to back: 2006 After many months of sonic construction and underground whispering, Dublin's Stand are about to release their fourth album proper, “Travel Light” onto the world next November. Sessions were booked. Release dates were nudged. Tracks were pulled apart limb from limb and put back together in novel ways. What emerged can only be described as their strongest body of songs to date. Mr. Walsh wore the producer hat, sifting through the do's and dont's, letting the songs core breathe, giving a fine goodbye to tiresome layering. Kudos. The melodies carry the weight. This album finds Neil and Alan in fine voice. Michael McCoy made sure tracks didn't need redoing because the kick drum microphone was left unplugged. Chief engineer of the Hit Factory NY, his craft, humour and tendency to an 18hr session kept spirits afloat. The venues: Buffalo, Rhinebeck, Manhattan, NYC and Lexington KY. Work started in a northern blizzard and finished under a southern sun.

Whoops. Wrong country..or is it? Wow, things have changed. Are those tumbleweeds on Broadway? Hell no, entertainment and beer sales are thriving. We just landed and we are off to Roxy Studios to plug in.Tonight will NOT be unplugged.

Update
We had a fun time chatting on the radio in Dublin the other day on The Gerry Ryan Show on RTE. What a great time that was for us. Other than that, reading writing rehearsing. Getting ready to do our bit for The Craicfest at The Mercury Lounge in NYC on March 12th. We hear there are just a few tickets left so be sure to come out. We have a bag of new songs to play. Some loud, some not and some in between.
