There are some new kings in town at the 5th Annual Hard Dance Awards powered by Trackitdown.net

The awards party and ceremony held on Friday 29th February at The Plug in Sheffield went with a bang! Two thousand hard dance fanatics left work early and trekked up and down the M1 to make it in time for the annual all night bonanza that is the Hard Dance Awards.

As expected, the 10,000 voters from around the world made themselves heard and this year there’s a host of new names and faces that have topped the polls.

The big winner of the night was Manchester’s Alex Kidd who picked up Best DJ and Biggest Party Animal while fellow spinner Andy Whitby from the Midlands who topped the DJ list last year took Best Resident for his regular slot at Frantic events.

These two deck destroyers are hotly followed by Canada’s Rodi Style who came blasting straight in to the top of the Best Newcomer off the back of his awesome sets. With him moving across the pond this year we can expect him to be bothering the big guns in 2008.
